10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

I know this is a PCE forum but I also install Hi-Def NES kits and N64 UltraHDMI kits, I can also do RGB mods or bypass on most consoles.

If you are interested in Hi-Def NES kit install, I charge $85 plus shipping. I will also replace all applicable capacitors and if you wish I can swap or install power leds. If you are unfamiliar with this modding, it involves installing interposed that intercept the CPU and PPU signal and outputs a digital 1080p signal over HDMI. If you order a kit from Game-Tech.us you can have it shipped directly to me and save on shipping cost.

For the N64 UltraHDMI install, I have kits on order currently. For kit with install I charge $230 including return shipping to CONUS and will also swap the power led if you wish. This kit is similar to the NES kit but intercepts a digital signal directly at the N64 Reality Co-Processor. I am an authorized installer for the UltraHDMI.

If you have any questions my contact info is in my signature. You can see pictures of some of my work on my twitter or Facebook page.

In case anyone was interested in getting the Hi-Def NES kit installed, these should be shipping out to installers possibly next week. Game-Tech is finishing up soldering interposers currently. If you want this done you can email me or shoot me a message on here.

Cool, this means my Hi Def kit will be coming shortly.  I perform my own mods but since the Ultra HDMi isn't being released to the public that I'm aware of I may hit you up for the mod.

For sure. Just let me know. I have kits on order for UltraHDMI and hope to see them around March. Based on the estimate that Marshall gave me.

I know Game-Tech has 500 kits to bag up so I expect that to take some time but I am honestly expecting to either see them this coming week or know a shipping date.

I've got both the Ultra-HDMI and HiDefNES kits in my systems and both are pretty awesome.  The HiDefNES kit is fucking outstanding.  Probably one of the best ways I spent my gaming money.

MobiusStripTech

Agreed. The most substantial gain of any mod probably comes from the Hi-Def NES kit.  The UltraHDMI is a good upgrade for N64 and most consoles benefit from RGB, but that Hi-Def NES kit just sets a new bar.

Just a quick update, the Hi-Def NES Kits are shipped out to almost all pre-orders and there are roughly 70 kits left before it becomes a pre-order deal again.

MobiusStripTech

Just an FYI, I am taking paid pre-orders for UltraHDMI installs. If you are interested, just shoot me a PM. I am expecting kits in the next 1-2 weeks.

I have a couple UltraHDMI kits on hand if anyone is looking for an install.
