@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

6 years old now, and still going strong...

I think I know how it's gonna go.  :-k

runinruder

Tenshi no Uta II.

The best of the rest would be Nexzr Special, Kabuki Den, and Rainbow Islands.

Drac X. Too bad all those other titles will lose out. 1993 was a great year.

CrackTiger

Tengai Makyou - Far East Of Eden - Kabuki Den
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

Digi.k

yup Drac X was the only game for me that year

NecroPhile

A. III, hands down.  :^o

I picked Dracula X with Ys IV, Bonk 3, and D.E. II following close behind.

P.S. - What's this 'Magical Chase PC Engine FAN Edition' you speak of?

"So, what is it? ..... Only joking."  Is the game any different than the original, or is it a repackage job?  If you (or anyone else) has any info. on this thing, please fill in this curious Cat.

P.S. - The only thing that I'm sure of, is that it ain't a white hole.

Its basically a re-release of Magical Chase with those new plastic cases where inside is white holder and the back has screenshots etc and the pc engine FAN magazine logo

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.  A black hole sucks time and matter out of the universe:  a white hole returns it.

Precisely - that's why we're experiencing these curious time phenomena on board.

I had found myself having a bit of a tough choice with this one, since there are several games that were good to choose. I had picked Winds of Thunder for this list. It really much is a fantastic shooting game with a rocking soundtrack to boot. I remember first seeing gameplay footage of it in its promotional video that it had reminded me of Magical Chase, and had thought SuperPCEngineGrafx liked death metal because of this game (all the while commenting on those two aspects on it, too). I am dying to try it out on Virtual Console soon (in about a week, I hope, I will finally get a Wii Points card).

A couple of other good choices would be Bomberman '94 and Street Fighter II Champion Edition. Castlevania: Dracula X - Rondo of Blood looks to be of a phenomenal game for the PC Engine, but I do not have enough interest in the game itself or in the series to determine to like it or not.

I wondered, too, what the FAN edition of Magical Chase was like (but in more terms of being like the US version with its graphical overhaul). WOW...The box art for the Game Boy Color version of the game is absolutely amazing...Then again, how could it be expected to be anything less since this had come from the great year of 2000?
