So I picked this game up from Nectaris a week ago. I have to say I like it. I really like the music in it. Customizing the car is really cool (plus everything is in English).

The first race track was really bland looking but they seem to be getting better. The one part that irritates me, (and makes the game intense at the same time) is the fact that basically everyone is in a pack the whole time.

If you fall by the wayside you basically fly in and land in the middle of the action. This is cool for when you go off the screen but its bullshit when they fall away and get to land right next to me when I'm in the lead.  :P. I think it should have another system where you can't simply "fly" to the front after a crash.

I'm still figuring it out but I think its a cool little racer if you can get a good deal. I have a homebrew game for the dreamcast called Rush Rally that reminds me of it.

How does the first compare as well as MC?

I just got Moto Roader (the first one) and after I worked out the handling, I'm really enjoying it.  I'm trying to figure out the balance of upgrading different parts (I feel if I don't win, I've lost).

An interesting thing I found out is that you can go to whole new different tracks by holding button combinations: http://www.gamefaqs.com/tg16/589037-moto-roader/faqs/38934 - might apply to yours too:

-= Alternate Race Courses =-
-==========================-
The KEY reason why I'm writing this FAQ - I've been hunting online for
the alternate race courses available in MotoRoader, and haven't found any.
Drat. So while I still remember a few of them, I'm gonna immortalize 'em
on GameFAQs. Each course has 8 heats, and each vary in the number of laps.

These were taught to me by a fellow PC-Engine enthusiast back in the '90s.

* Default Course
Just press Run.

Overview: Very basic course, and the best to run when introducing newbs.

* Suburb
Hold Down I + SEL then press Run.

Overview: Hands down the most challenging and difficult course *ever*.
I do not think I've ever completed this course while using grenade launchers
at every round. The first heat is extremely long, very difficult to
memorize and trap ridden. The other heats vary in length and difficulty
from simply annoying to verily a strain on the senses.
Most of the times, I will purchase a Gas Tank... just in case :)

* U.S.A
Hold down UP + I then press Run.

Relatively easy course, about the same difficulty as the default course.

* TRAP Course
Hold down I + II then press Run.

Fun! If the whole group of players at least knows how to control the cars
properly and know how to use the gas tank. Heats are average length, but
the placements of traps and layout is very challenging, at times funny,
yet not as annoying as the Suburbs. No warning signs for course obstacles!

* Other courses?

I cannot remember if there are any other courses (Hey it's been more then
a decade!!!!) If you do, please email me?

This is the first one in the series I've played so I'm afraid I won't be much help.

I love Moto Roader, but the game is definitely 100 times better with other players in person.  I had a 4 player MR session going on, and it was really awesome.  After that, it is hard to play the game any other way.

I guess the counter to the argument that it zaps you right into the pack is that you lose gas when that happens.  If you run out, you lose.  So then you have to come up with a strategy, do you buy the extra gas or another item?  If you lose a few races early on, you almost need the gas to survive, and have to hope for a last second BS win because you are slower than the pack.

I don't see anything to indicate I'm losing gas in the second game?

CrackTiger

Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

That was cut and pasted from the FAQ, I just thought it might work in your game too.

I found the Moto Roader series is really fun when played multi player  8) , but not so great as a single player game.
Similar to Bomberman series. Saying that I did enjoy the Bomberman 94 single player game.

Quote from: some block off youtubeIn one episode, Dodongo c-walks out of a convenience store with a 40 at 7:40 AM, steals an arcade machine from an auction, haggles in Spanish for a stuffed papa smurf to use as a sex toy, and buys Secret of Mana for a dollar.
