@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

I'm going to go out on a limb here since everyone here loves video games that maybe someone here has these lying around and would be willing to part with it.

I'm looking for the official GC component cables. On ebay they are just majorly over priced 60-80 in most cases plus shipping . I think they sold for like 20/30 bucks new when they came out.

I would be willing to spend like 40/50 with shipping for them if anyone somehow has one of these lying around they are not using?

Thanks!

This thread should be in the console sale&trade section  Some mod move it please.

FYI - there is another Gamecube cable that is Japanese that can be modded to work as a Component cable, all you need to do is hack off the ends and add RCA's and it works! It is the D-Terminal Gamecube that you will need to hunt down and they are much cheaper than regular component. Just an FYI.

Sorry somehow I missed this section. I didnt really want to do a hack job. I was just looking for the official cable if someone happened to have it and was parting with there GC.

I got mine $50 shipped on Ebay a little over 2 years ago. Just wait and snipe, since it is hard to find elsewhere. If all else fails get a Wii and use it for Gamecube plus the option of Virtual console.

I think they were about $40 new, and in the US they were only available from Nintendo. I got mine for free long after they were sold out. Someone I knew was buying a used GC from EB and they had no use for the component cable. I'm not getting out of Gamecube because the thing is just so cute and it isn't worth anything anyway.

I'm surprised the cables are still going for so much money. An actual GC has little use these days. A Wii can do almost anything a GC can do. Are people that into the Gameboy Player?

I cant believe they are still so sought after. I dont have a Wii but love my GC so i mean 60 bucks its cheaper then 200 for the wii. 60 bucks is insane. I just keep watching every auction for a steal but I dont know if that will happen. Still hoping someone on here wants to dump there set of cables.

Of course it works D-Terminal=Component, just in a smaller, simpler plug.  If you don't want to hack one, you can get a simple D-Terminal--->Component breakout cable just about anywhere online.  Japan is kind of strange.  Most DVD players have RCA Component output.  But Every TV made since about 2000 only has D-Terminal Component input.  So the adapter cables are everywhere in Japan.

Do you have a link to what im looking for, im not that good with this.

yup, like i said the most economic way to go is D-terminal. Paying more is a waste, in fact the cable is more than double what the system is worth!

This is the D Terminal cable

Originally these cables would cost the same as a component cable since they both have the same chip built into the cable (unique to the GC, this chip is why these cables are so expensive and don't (usually) come from 3rd parties) but I assume that you can get them on clearance or something from what these guys are saying. I have no idea how to find one for significantly less than $60 after the cost/work of hacking it.

I got lucky the other day and for some reason someone listed the official cables for 49.99 with a buy it now, so i quickly snatched it up. I figure if they dont make that big a difference I can always re-sell em. Thanks for all your help

It makes a big difference. The newer and crappier the TV, the bigger difference it makes, since composite circuitry is an afterthought on newer TVs.

$50 isn't that bad. Just think about all the money you saved with GC stuff normally being so cheap.
