Hyper Japan festival was on over the weekend and they had some great live game music performances by violinist Masa-kun and guitar duo With Ether.

Here's a bit of the Masa-kun/Ether collaboration playing Tetris (my request :P), Zelda, some DBZ and Final Fantasy ===
Also, With Ether did a cool Metal Gear medley, here's a snippet ==
I hope these guys make it to the next event, as my inner geek loved to hear this stuff played live (the Mario theme was particularly energetic).

SuperPlay

Totally missed out on this event!

I get the feeling there might be another later in the year (as they titled this 'spring').

If not, there will hopefully be another Autumn Matsuri in London around September time, which was pretty cool (apart from the octopus balls which I didn't much like).

Tatsujin

the japanese also started with the BLIP festivals last year :)

Tetris and Zelda tunes never get stale and moldy. Never.
