Seriously.  Has anyone beaten this game without cheats?  It got so hard at Level 6, I just had to start cheating with the weapon/magic select code.  It's really easy until 6, then it hits a brick wall!

This game is a piece of cake compared to Valis III (the ice palace stage is tough for me).

Anyway,Valis II really isn't  that difficult...  Please refresh my memory on what level six is like so I may offer some pertinent advice, should I have any :)

Aside: One thing I liked about Valis II is that you can always beat the level you're stuck on -- even if you die and start again w/ no power-ups.

I got stuck on the level with those little spike balls that float around.  It was so frustrating tht I just cheated using the weapon/magic code and froze the enemies half the time. :)

I'm going to do Valis III next.  I have vague memories of spending 6 hours or so in the early '90s trying to do that ice level! :)

I have Valis IV and haven't played it yet--but I wanted to go through the rest of the series in order.

The ice stage in Valis III IS A BASTARD! I did beat it though after a long time like last year, but the game actually gets harder after that and I don't think I ever beat the level after the ice stage, because the boss was really hard.

Nothing wrong with playing them in order.

To me there like this on how they play.

Valis>Tricky in some parts.
Valis II>Same as above.
Valis III>Easy as pie.
Valis IV>Peace of cake :D

I used to play through Valis II again and again without dying with no tricks back in the day.

There was no internet, so unless I came across a trick in a magazine, I never even heard of them.

Valis II is easy enough if you practice. Valis III is also easy except for the last level and or boss if I remember correctly.

By easy, I mean you play it a bunch of times and can get good at it.

They're not those kinda games where you have to memorize everything to make it through nor are they the kind of games that you can pick up and play through in one sitting either.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!
