Can anyone provide me with the capacitor values in a PC Engine?

Just the normal white one.  I can't remember if they're written on there or not (I need to start carrying one around with me).

Thinking about replacing them with tantalum caps for a project of mine.

i dont have the values, but watch out on tant caps, as they fail in strange ways, often blowing the tops off surrounding parts,or burning the board.
be sure to overspec the volt ratings on them to avoid failures(for the most part)

Huh.  They're different, which I wouldn't have expected.

Here's the list I have (bought my PCE into work :D)

25v 22mf x 1
50v 1mf x 8
16v 10mf x 3
25v 47mf x 3
10mf 16v x 1 (hu card slot PCB).

There's also a difference in wattage on the 25v 47mf ones.  2 are 115w and one says 119w.

Argh, it's really difficult to even find the right ones.  How much shall I overspec the voltage?  Is double too much?
for instance, I think I'll stick with the 50v 1mf and 16v 10mf ones, but I can't find anything in the right size for 25v 22mf or 25v 47mf

hahah, whoops, it's much easier to find them if you search for uf rather than mf...  Still, how much shall I compensate?  I can't imagine the PC Engine being particularly at risk of voltage fluctuations.  I'll hopefully be powering it by battery soon too.

i dont expect 50V anywhere in the sys.
if you go with 20V caps all through you should be safe.
using higher voltage caps will never hurt it.

Right you are, thanks for that.  I'll up-spec the ones lower than 20 to 20, and leave the others at the voltage they are.
