12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

Quote from: guest on 10/19/2012, 10:45 AMGood question.  Mine's in a generic case, but it was also bought used.
I asked the seller, and he said this one is also in a generic case with no back.  According to the seller, that is how it originally came, though the case his is in is a replacement.  Mine is in a thin case, which is what he said is the original.

Based on the fact there are three of us that don't have the CD back, but do have the booklet, I am inclined to believe this is how it came originally.

Does yours have a weird lip to hold in the book?

I also wanted this bad, but I will remain patient.  So I will not be placing a bid on this.  Looks like it has gone up though.  Currently at $31 at the time of this post.

The plastic clips that hold the book in are longer than the usual plastic pieces that hold in a game's manual.  I never saw another case like this one, makes me almost think it was made specifically for the CD+G.   Unfortunately one of my plastic lips/clips is bent.

If you're just looking to enjoy the experience, you can pick up the Sega CD version off Amazon.com for a lot less than the TG-16 CD version.  And from what I hear, it includes all the same CD+G songs.  I recently ordered one and it also included a second music sampler containing some semi indy alternative stuff (at the time).  TMBG, Lush, and Throwing Muses are on there to name a few.  Anyway, I think mine was something like $7.50 shipped.  It's not true OBEY, but it's close enough for me. :P

no effin way.
i would be really happy paying $10-$16, a stretch would be $25-$28. These prices/bids are insane

im still looking for the cd-g

lemme know if anyone has one for sale

MotherGunner

Well, the only reason I didn't bid was because I didn't want to screw your chances.  Next time please take the time to let us know what your limit is so that when it passes it, it's fair game for the rest of us.

Communication.

sorry-
I had a limit in my bid, it went WAY over that. The last one of these went for $5 and one other for $16. I doubt I'll ever bid on Ebay again. $48.50...rofl  ](*,)

I cant post my bidding limit in a public forum without possibly being taken advantage of by ebay sellers.

NecroPhile

This one went too high because it included 'turbografx' in the listing.  Stupid OMG RAR3Z collectors....  [-(

They feature some of the same artists, but the track listings are completely different.

Rock Paintings is a better experience anyways.  The Informaiton Society tracks make the whole thing worth it.

Wow, I'm glad I still have my original one, sounds like the prices are insane to get one of these. I hope that anyone that needs one is able to get it eventually.

If you want to improve your chances, it's best to not even talk about items like this. Countless noobs surf these boards looking for CIB collections with no idea what it entails. Judging by their weekly posts, most of these "collectors" don't even know which hucards don't have boxes. As soon as they hear about some worthless piece of paper or extra plastic crap, they go buy it on ebay: "What? Two games with extra cardboard wraps?" $300. "Ys had a map?!?" $75. "Red and black versions?" $50. "OMG R@RE Bikini games?" $400.

More ignorance = more good deals.

The full length CD that those InSoc tracks are taken from is worth about $5, and it's probably the best CG+G ever made.

Too true, VestCunt.  It probably wouldn't have mattered this time (not with TG-16 in the auction title), but I'll just send a PM if I see another one.

+1. With or without a sampler disc, the real treat is enjoying another facet of our favorite system's technology. The Information Society and Hendrix discs are great, the Sega disc is, like, $3 and all are easily found. The Devo disc doesn't seem to exist, unfortunately.

HELL YES, of course I have this CD+G album as well. The sense of humor is actually pretty refreshing. They packed a decent amount of "comments" and content into that release. It seems as if the band were totally into it (which is unusual, even today). Information Society had a nerdy passion for technology...awesome. :pcgs:

Do any of you have the Alphaville CD+G to sell me? Or the CD+G Talking Heads album (Naked)? I have the regular versions of these albums...
