@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

Hey there, so as we all know and are not surprised by, ebay can be a good and very bad place to look for classic videogame goodness, while a lot of peeps pretty much write that site off, I do still time to time get on and gander about looking for deals. Over the past 3 to 4 years we all on here have seen some pretty shady stuff, well here is a new one. So this ebay seller http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Exile-TG16-Video-Game-/380420503092?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item5892d43634 has numerous copies of Exile for sale brand new and factory sealed. I was excited to have some spending money to be able to put back into my collection a handful of turbo games I sold off a year or 2 ago. I saw that this seller had Exile, new and was listed for $50 which IMO is a high price already since not even 1 year or 2 ago you could still get them new for around $20 or less. Anyways I added this to my watch list and figured I'd wait a day just in case. So went back to purchase it earlier this morning and the price has jumped from $50.99 to $507.99, in one day, WTF! So this is just a typical ebay douche it appears, makes me so mad cause I really wanted this game but not at this price LMAO. So beware of this ebay seller, they seem to be very shady.

I think you mean unscrupulous.

In a world where buyers had a brain, self restraint, and had to pay with cash, this seller's practices wouldn't matter. He may be gouging, but he can't do it alone. It takes a small army of moronic retro gamers to make it work.

In the past I would have been OMG! SHOCKED to see such a mediocre and common game listed for so high, but nothing fazes me now. You want fifty grand for Bonk 2? Ok, fine. I'm sure someone will pay it. Whatever. Blah...

We could always like do a mob message demanding he drops his price. ^^

T2KFreeker

But, but, but, he offers FREE SHIPPING!!!!!!  :| What an idiot!!!!!
END OF LINE.

Not that such an outrageous cash grab is out of the question, but it could be a simple typo.

GameFreak

yeah i could see how it could be a typo. maybe they forgot to delete the "0" after trying to change the price to 50.99 from 57.99.
Either way, this topic belongs in that ebay thread that already exists.

Yeah I suppose your right it very well could be a typo, who knows, I've yet to get a single response back from them though and the price remains the same. To be honest I know full well this game is not even worth the $50 asking price it once was, even sealed, so guess I'll be waiting for one to show up elsewhere, no big.

And yeah Zeta, your absolutely right, it takes more than the seller with bad, high prices for things to get even worse, in fact Id bet that uneducated retro gamers who don't do there research are more to blame for bad prices on retro games these days.

I did want to put this in that "Gouging Much" thread that already exists and has for the past few years, but was extremely short on time and thus did not bother to search for the thread.
