wondering if anyone knows a roundabout price this would cost to fix up, also if the buy-in for is worth the investment. don't know too incredibly much about the innards of the machine. also if someone wanted to snag it up, awesome.

Without looking inside or handling it in person, one wouldn't be able to see exactly what is wrong with it, or if it has been tampered (opened up), stuff rearranged, etc. Could be anything wrong.

That seller is Keith Courage here on this board I beleive.  Usually no boot issues etc like that are caused by problems in the lines connecting the hucard slot, or possibly bus switchers or ram.  I'd treat that as a parts unit personally.  Might be too involved to be worth trying to fix.  Time / money could be better spent towards a good duo-r.

Yes, in my opinion that system would be for parts. That's why I put for parts in the actual description. Too much trouble to fix it up for me anyways and I don't need anymore broken DUOs laying around the place right now.

So it is confirmed that it was yours that I bought :-)  Can't wait to address the bad traces I found on the other one I bought from you.  Crossing fingers that it will address the CD audio issue.  Still have not narrowed down the BIOS issue, but I'm not too worried about that.  FYI, running a v3 system card ROM from a flash cart works great!
