Hi friends.  I have a few games that I would be interested in trading.  I can't claim to understand why, but I know there are a few of you out there that collect sealed games.  I have to assume that you are saving them so that one day, when you're 64, you can sit down with your stack of sealed games, tear them open one by one, and enjoy the shit out of them like you had bought them new back in the day.
Well I am not one of you!  I recently acquired two rarer games, Cotton and Camp California, that are both sealed.  I paid a bit more for them obviously, but my intent is to play them!  However, before I open them, I wanted to post here and see if anyone would like to trade for mint/near mint copies of the same games, along with something else to even out the trade.
*To be clear* I am not looking to sell them.  I just want to play them.  But if someone has used copies, I would gladly exchange them and hopefully pick up a new title or two in the process.  And, if no trade pans out after a week or two or three (if I can wait that long), then I'll just open them and enjoy them!

Now I am newer to these boards than most of you, but please don't hold that against me.  I'm just a fellow Duo lover like all of you.  Both games are in perfect condition.  They are not resealed and the both have the original hang tabs on the back.  I will include pics here also (they are low quality taken with an iPad, but I can take higher res pics if you like).

For trade, I'm looking for nice (mint/near mint) copies of Cotton and CC, and something from my wantlist.  PM me if interested!

Wantlist:
Beyond Shadowgate
Chase HQ (card and manual)
Godzilla
Hero Tonma (card and manual)
Magical Chase (duh!)
Might & Magic 3
Super Air Zonk
Terraforming (would really like to find this one)

  Thanks for looking!

Cotton is definatly worth cracking open, I suggest if you are not able to find a trade you tear of that plastic PDQ and pop it in your Duo. Fun times to be had there my friend.

I'm not really into the sealed scene, but wanted to give you a kudos for offering this up.  Really cool of you.

Good luck with the trade. I'd love to have either game but.....

Heh, sorry. I just had to go make feel goodz my weeping wallet. "Sorry, baby. I'll never talk about a sealed copy of Cotton ever again."

Me too.  Unfortunately I already have Cotton and don't have anything on his want list.  And Camp California isn't worth much to me.  But good on ya for offering up sealed copies for opened copies!

Thanks folks for the kind words!  I was a little worried trying to offer this trade might rub some the wrong way or something.
I've heard from 2 people but nothing definite yet.  If you have them for trade but nothing on my wantlist, I collect just about every game system so feel free to offer up something else like low-end Neo Geo, rarer NES, bulk lot of Genesis or SNES games, whatever (except money).  I'm also eagerly looking for a Genesis CDX in nice shape.  But like I said I'm really just trying to fill out my Duo collection because I'm in love with the thing and that's what I'm spending my time playing.
We have a long holiday weekend coming up for Memorial Day (May 28 for you non-Americans) and most likely I'll spend the whole time with my Duo.  So if you're truly interested let me know before too long!  Cheers!

Would a JVC X-eye count?

Honestly I know very little about the JVC X-eye.  I'd prefer Sega's over a 3rd party console but let me look into it tonight and I'll get back with you :)

EDIT - read up on the X'eye and it's a neat little system.  Interesting that it has S-video out but I think I read it doesn't always (ever?) work on US models?  Thank you though I will have to pass because I'm pretty set on a CDX and I have RGB cables I plan to use with it.  Don't want to mess up my A/V mojo.

It was a thought, I believe these x-eyes are better built systems and I use rca cables with it all the time. Even tested the Karaoke feature believe it or not. An interesting thread on this:

Let me know if you change your mind.

I already opened one sealed Camp California, it was a joyous experience.  It is a quirky and underrated game, one that I have gone back to many times.

I am half tempted to trade my opened game and a loose Chase HQ so I can open it again.
