I think you're thinking of Riftwar Saga being mentioned atleast once a year, I've always had an obsession with that game, especially seeing as how I can play the arcade version of Peter Pack Rat, but there is no version(yet) of Riftwar Saga to play.

UPDATE: Beaglepuss called me with some news...

Sadly, the EPROM was mislabeled. Instead of owning a Marble Madness prototype, he actually possesses a prototype of RBI Baseball. All is not lost, however. You can listen to songs from Marble Madness when pitching. Remarkably, all of the players on your team resemble marbles with stubby appendages.

Beaglepuss said he will provide more info when he has the opportunity.

I enjoyed Marble Madness on the NES a lot.  I'd likely be willing to buy a Turbo version, but I'm curious about the legalities of such.  Were rights purchased or just the prototype?

More than Marble Madness though, I'd be curious to see the Supergrafx port of Strider show up somewhere.

Well, I hope we didn't scare off BeaglePuss.  I consider this game TG history!  We could go in a make our own version of Marble Madness, but it wouldn't be historically the original game, if that makes any sense   In any case, this belongs in a museum!

Remarkably, the developers found a way to present the marble itself in HD. As you know, the PCE/TG-16 hardware couldn't support full widescreen HD, so they compromised. Inspect the screenshot closely and you will see what I mean.

The normal Marble Madness doesn't fill the screen all the way from left to right. There are black borders on the sides to mimic the arcade aspect ratio. The widescreen mode simply switches the resolution of the game so that the visual area is stretched to the edges and there are no black bars. The Mega Drive version has this same mode.

At this point I think it is fake, because the limited info provided.  It appears the poster did a one and done to stir things up and have a little fun.

At least I hope it is fake.  I can get into a joke / rumor as much as the next guy.  If the original poster is actual one of these "I get something rare and will keep it for myself with no videos kind of guys," he can go fuck himself.  Nothing worse in any gaming community than these pretentious dickheads.  There is no logic that if a playthrough video of a game is posted, it will lower its value.

PC Cocoron has been a grail for years. I would definitely contribute towards seeing both of these dumped and released to the community.

I know some people aren't in for getting this game from Beaglepuss, but I personally wish we could pull funds together or something to acquire it.  Even though I suck at the game, I've always had an obsession with Marble Madness, along with Paperboy, 720, & Toobin'.  I've tried reaching out to Beagle to see if there's any way I can help, like maybe doing redbook tunes for a cd release, but I have yet to receive an answer.
