@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

Was looking for a way to mod the game gear to take a composite vid LCD similar to the one used for the turbo express LCD mod and found this website, http://members.iinet.net.au/~stinkyfist/reviletim/ggtv/ggtv.htm.  How easy would it be to built something like this using the following diagram:

How would I get the CPLD with the logic already programmed?

let me know what you come up with. steve's working on my gamegear and one day i would love to have a better lcd in it.

there is already a board that is made althought I am not sure Viletum is selling it. Would make it a ton easier to just buy the board since composite video appears more complex than the TE. I got a game gear that eventually will get a new screen.

It's a nice system but poor screen

It does look complex. If any one knows where I get buy a board alread made I would be all over.

The gamegear is great for playing master system games.

biggest reason i want to get a new screen in my gg is to play master system games. i have the converter, just can't take the screen.

That's the exact same reason I want a new screen in my GG. :D

There's a guy on youtube that has put in a new lcd in a gamegear playing mastersystem games: https://youtu.be/w23g1syB7FU&feature=my_liked_videos&list=LLv_L9O_YcGlxpIjEnXjWCVg

Doesn't show any gamegear games as it would be a cropped image.

Hopefully someone can figure out how to display GG games in full screen.

I have bought the needed material to use a ndsi backlight in a gamegear. while its not the same thing as a new screen, its supposed to improve lighting and contrast considerably. i will attempt to take pics of the mod with my crappy camera when i'm done. it will be awhile before i get the parts.
