Hi guys. After a long hiatus, I'm back for a special 1000th post!

I've decided to dedicate this post to a web series shot and written by a personal friend of mine from Winnipeg. The web series is called Venus Spa and is about a group of ladies running an all-female fitness center and spa in the 80's. Now, while the acting starts off shaky, it gets better as the series progresses. The entire first season is basically all about Andrea, the main protagonist trying to get into Venus Spa, the hottest fitness centre in town. However, she'll soon realize that joining the spa is easier said than done when instructors Ally, Molly and Nancy will do everything they can to bring her down to her knees.

That's right!

The writer and director's name of the series is Chris Greenaway, who I've said is a personal friend of mine and whom I've known for 9 years. He's a big fanatic of classic hockey, gaming, pro wrestling and horror movies. He can give you a great history lesson on Atari if you've ever met him in real life. His other web series, Camp Breezy Beach is also worth a look if you've got the time.

P.S. He also appears in the show. He's the big blonde-haired guy with the sports jerseys.

Why is such a thing being videotaped in the first place? "Hmmm. I'll do some sit-ups. That means I should bust out the video camera to watch it later!" Why is the monitor not plugged in to anything? That doesn't mean it is fake, just... weird.

EDIT: Not saying it is fake, but it could be faked with 3 different camera shots. Shot # 1 = cat jumping up on table. Shot # 2 = monitor falling. Shot # 3 = dude doing sit-ups, reacting and bumping into geetar. This would be easy to composite in After effects or even Final Cut Pro. Then, the video quality was lowered to add to its cheesiness/realism. Still, the monitor seems to bounce off of him so that would be the hard part. Why someone would want to fake something that really isn't that funny is baffling, though, unless it was just done for the experience.
