how to use a pc-fx on a tv?

hello,

just wondering how to use a pc-fx on an european tv? which kind of wires are needed, what kind of equipment?
the reason iam asking is that everytime i look at a pc-fx sale there is only one wire included for connecting the console with a tv but not with eletricity...or maybe its just me...
and how and where to safe save files from the games? is there something like a memory card available?

What you should need (saying this before checking my facts):

* 1 composite RCA or S-video lead (there's normal composite & s-video on the back, take your pick)
* 1x stereo RCA lead for audio (red & white lead).
* Not sure about the power cord, if it's "stuck" to the unit or if it's removable and which kind of lead it is.

I also think the unit has some kind of built in memory, albeit small, but there was a memory card released for the system.

The video output is NTSC (S-video or composite RCA), so if you're using a PAL TV, the same considerations for any other non-HD Japanese/American console apply. There are external converters out there, and I understand there are some PAL TV's that will accept an NTSC signal. I'm not an expert on any of this, so you better google about it.

Power supply is internal, so you can't do an AC adapter replacement. You'll need a converter for the voltage and outlet shape.

Save is internal. Same type of system as turbo/PCE. There is also an external memory card if you need more space/want to transfer files to another system.

Don't know if you've got a solution or not as this thread is quite old already so in advance my apoligies if this has been answered.

Your best bet would be to buy a ntsc to pal converter, they can be had for about 30$ orso on ebay and work quite well infact, only requirement is that your tv can output a 60hz signal.

Now i must say when you have a tv from a chinese/korean/taiwanese manufacter i'm fairly sure it can accept ntsc signals or atleast so i'm told.

In my case when i hook it up to my deawoo crt tv it doesen't need a converter at all but when i hook it up to my sony crt downstairs it does need a converter.

There is an s video port on it. I'm not sure if svid works on a pal tv or not though

got mine running using a cheap stepdown power transformer you can get them on ebay for £5

connecting it to my tv with the 3 composite leads red,white and yellow if your tv can accept ntsc you're fine pretty much all lcds tvs should work and most crt should work.

you could use the s-video lead and 2 audio leads the red and white better picture this way if your tv has s-video.

or you could put the 3 composite leads red,white and yellow into a scart block and put it in your rgb scart socket on your tv.

Thing to remember tho you HAVE TO USE A STEPDOWN TRANSFORMER or your PC-FX go byby.
