Excellent write up. Friends are always asking me about all that is pc-engine and this is perfect.
Awesome trades and deals with:
Fiftyquid, thesteve, keithcourage, mothergunner, Bernie, turboswimbz, Bardoly, BlueBMW, Galam, Elderboroom, dicer

A few thoughts:

1 overall pretty darn cool.  Great Guide for explaining the system without going into overkill

2  No Mention of HUDSON?

3 This might be trivial, but i think it should be HuCARD. (HU card is strange to read to me)

4 The Failure of the PC-FX section seems a little unfair and perhaps Basis?

5 Love the look at the game section, shows the personality of the system.

6. Produce some more
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)
BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere. You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

Tatsujin

The sys hueys 1.0, 2.0, 2.1 didn't had any additional ram, theyt only hold the bios for the cd-rom. The 64KB ram was sitting directly on the CD-Rom, together with the ADPCM ram, which originally was designed as a music/fx buffer only, but sometimes soft-tricky used for graphic storage as well (e.g. Monsterlair).

btw, I would write them as HuCARD rather than HU cards :)

Didn't read everythign yet.

Thanks for looking, I think spell check changed the HuCard's will have to change it back.

Interesting about the train, did Hudson make trains, engines or veicles if so you could well be right, the pc engine always looked like a top of a engine block, as far as I have read the disigine was based on a engine part dident know way.

As for the writing I have neaver had any skills in but I love the engine and wasn't to hard to throw a few words together, been thinking of doing a neogeo write up when I got some time.

If your interested my mate did some 1 on neogeo and 1 on Super Nintendo can post them if you want a read there very nicely written.

Hudson soft only made games and software etc. (as far as I know anyway, perhaps someone else knows better)  However the name of the company, many designs they did as well as some of the names of their products were inspired and influenced by the original Hudson starters fondness of Hudson (A diffrent company that did make cars, engines, trains, etc.) Trains, and Steam Engines.

I do believe Tatsujin was having a bit of fun.
