10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

Hi. Since Ive yet to acquire the above i was hoping someone
would be good enough to give me the physical dimensions
(not looking for 1/16" accuracy, just a rough idea of how much space i need
to allow for)

I'm modding an entertainment center with lots of sentimental value
to serve as my nostalgia gaming center

My already-overworked OCD complex thanks you from
its bottomless pit of insanity... :-"

NecroPhile

Speaking of insane (or perhaps just inane).....

You mean A New Dimension CD+G, right?  It's a standard sized CD in a slim case.

I think he means the physical dimensions of the console w/docking station and CD peripheral.  Unless I completely missed your point.
I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.

NecroPhile

Of course, but I don't have such a system to measure and went the crazy answer route instead.

Not sure what the exact dimension are but I have built a shelve using 16L x 16W x 10H for each openings and my TG-16/CD combo fits just fine.
Turbo fan since 1991 after owning my first system.

For bat to scale that properly, is that wide rule or college rule?

Clearly it's wide ruled.   :---)
All is well. :)

bob

Nice. So its roughly 4.5 lines wide x 3.25 lines deep x 3 lines high.
(Adjusted for perspective)

ROFL, wow. Loony Tunes we are, yet Loony Tunes we become...

Yes I'm looking for the physical dimensions :P

Are you that guy doing the all-in-one game system? :)

PCE Shmups countdown: 111/111 (all clear!!)
Sega does what Nintendon't, but only NEC does better than both together!^^
<Senshi> Tat's i'm going to contact the people of Hard Off and open a store stateside..

TG-16+ TG-CD = slightly larger than a stock PCE.

Probably not the same one your thinking of.

My project involves an old real-wood (ok, finished plywood, but not particle board or any of that crap) entertainment center. On the right side is normally were a component stereo, vcr, etc
would normally sit. I'm hoping to use slideing shelf rails (like what you would find in your kitchen drawers) to make the game systems slide out nicely for access)

Currently the plan is for 5 game systems and a commodore 128 to be included as well as
one of those sony Trinitron TVs (Ive played on a friends one and it looks nice)

I'm not trying to hack together 5 game systems into one case or anything, tho that sounds
interesting...
