Am I the Only Pcenginefx-er With an Xbox One?

I see a bunch of people picked up PS4...  but I didn't see anyone else mention getting an Xbox One.  I understand the Microsoft anti-consumer stuff, but thankfully they went back on almost all of it.  With that said, I have really enjoyed my Xbox One so far.  Until the PS4 gets some games, I don't think it is even a question which is better day one.

1.)  Killer Instinct - I have played a decent amount of this game and I am craving more.  Need to go through the training to better understand the intricacies of the combo system, but so far it is a lot of fun.  Once they add more characters it will be great.  Only big problem is Jago is free, so about 60% of online matches are against Jago.  Orchid is my main so far and I am ashamed, as this is the only fighting game I use a female character (Strip Fighter excluded).

2.)  Forza 5 - Very nice visuals and highly refined racing game.  If you are into racing simulators, this is about as good as it gets.  Some complaints that there are fewer cars / tracks than Forza 4, but I am content with the amount on the disc so far.

3.)  Ryse - Game looks awesome and plays really well.  I wish I played on a harder difficulty because normal seems to be a cake walk, but otherwise I am digging this big time.  Some complaints of repetition have been made, but I am a huge beat-em-up fan so I embrace it.  This is as close to God of War as you are going to get next gen day one.  I am torn between KI and this game as my favorite day one releases of the PS4/XB1 generation.

4.)  Madden 25 - I got this one because it is a game my friends will actually play.  Doesn't seem too different than the last 30 Maddens and the graphics aren't so hot.  Friends like it though, so I guess it is what it is.

5.)  Dead Rising 3 - Saving this one for the long weekend.  Was a big fan of Dead Rising 1, but the second game felt like it was missing something.

6.)  Crimson Dragon - Saving this one for my week off in December.  Nervous I am going to be disappointed, this was the game I was originally most excited for.

My criticisms so far are:

1.)  Installs are EMBARRASSINGLY slow.  It takes like 90+ minutes to install a game.  You can start before it is all the way installed, but there is always the risk you hit a point where it says "wait."

2.)  The Kinnect doesn't understand me most of the time.  I went to school for radio broadcasting for a while and I am fairly certain I speak quite clearly, so this is obnoxious.  At this point I just started to use the controller to select stuff.

3.)  The TV feature seems to skip on my system.  I don't know what would cause this to happen, not sure if my system is defective?  Everything else works.  I wonder if it has something to do with Westinghouse not being selectable from the TV model list?  I just unhooked my pass through and put the cable straight to the TV again.  I don't feel like having my system on all day just to watch TV, seems counter-intuitive to the electronic's longevity.

I figured I'd give my opinion, since it seems no one else is on board with the Xbox One.

I remember when you could just pop a game in and BAM!  Instant gaming!   My co-worker got an XBOX -1 and the first thing he mentioned to me was the install times being painfully slow.  I don't ever remember them being that fast on 360 either.  How big are these XBOX-1 games?  They are on Blu-ray correct?

I'll probably get one at some point...maybe... But for the time being, I'm sorta turned off by Microsoft's living room domination agenda. It's kinda gross. I feel as though they're trying to sell me a marketing scheme rather than a good gaming machine. Games don't even seem to be secondary on their list of priorities. It's more like fourth or fifth priority behind monetization/microtransactions, furthering their multichannel products like Bing, Surface, and whatever other me-too thing they're trying, getting me to watch NFL games with my bros, enabling their destruction of Skype as a usable product, etc...

The thing is huge, bulky, and a trojan horse for a bunch of shit that I'm just not interested in. I hate the Windows 8/Metro interface, find Bing to be a complete waste of time, and would like to say the word "Xbox" in a room at any given time without having a HAL-5000 trying to translate it into a command.

I tend to wait a year or so before I pick up a new console, but at least from the launch titles alone I would have gone with the Xbone.

Gotta wait and see if either one wows me first.  The Wii U is pretty ripe right now with a few different games I'm interested in and more to come, so I'm finally going to pick one up.

I'll get one when they're way cheaper and have some games I might want to play (neither system has games that I simply can't wait for). The Xbone also cost an extra $100 for a weaker console. I would be paying for something I would NEVER use (the Kinect). So the price of $500 is absolutely unjustifiable at this point. If they can get it down to $299 then I might pick one up. Or have a SKU that does not include the stupid Kinect or TV features which I absolutely do not need nor want.

As far as PS4, there's also no reason to get one right now. No game on there is OMG I NEED IT RIGHT NOW MUST PAY $400 NEED IT NOOOOWWW!!! If they put Shenmue on it then I'd buy one right away. With the Vita I preordered Ys before I even got the system. I'm sure I'll get a PS4 down the road and it will likely be my preferred system of choice since it's more powerful and more loved by God. I watched a friend play Battlfield 4 on his PS4 and I wasn't particularly impressed with the graphical difference. Seems to be a very little jump in quality. At least the shadows aren't jaggy any more so I guess that's good.

Hell I got Mario World 3D or whatever it's called for the WiiU and I still haven't even played that one yet.

I have a nice gaming pc. Don't need either console and personally am not impressed by anything either one offers. I did think the error messages for Xbox One people have been posting are pretty funny though. Between that crap and the shoddy defective Texas Instruments Bluray drive and junk Samsung Sata hard drive it uses, if I was going to buy one though, it definitely wouldn't not the the Xbox One. Built cheap, under powered, and way over priced.

About the only reason I would even *consider* getting a PS4 or a Xboxone if they had a Dragon Quest, Wizardry or Deception game on either one of them. So far the new Deception game is coming out for the PS3 but it might be a Japan only release...

I have not had a chance to set it up yet.. Played a ton of Forza 5 over the weekend and never got around to playing around with the settings. Hoping to sit down with the long weekend ahead and getting everything setup properly.

If I were to buy a "current" gen (if Wii U counts) system right now, I'd get a Xbox One, but I'm not sure if I'll ever bother to buy any of them until they're $100 or something like a new Tengai Makyou game comes out.

I still need to get a Japanese 360 to play Ziria on (already picked up a launch Japanese PS3 for Namida). I'll do that before buying a new console.

I understand the disdain for modern gaming.  Install times and the requirement to have minimum 1 hour to play is obnoxious.  With that said, I am a sucker for new systems and I have been ever since the 16-bit console launch, which was the first I was old enough to appreciate.

You guys that are just picking up PS3/XB360 now are probably the smart ones.  Super cheap systems and games and great selection.

I have yet to purchase a PS3 and don't plan on getting a PS4 or Xbone anytime soon.  Not to say it's inevitable, just not in the near future.  Hell, I still only have ten, probably less, games for the Xbox 360.

Only worthwhile if the music is amazing. The Turbo CD is the only version of that game I ever enjoyed. Part 2 on the Genesis suck by uncleansed nutsack. So it's hard for me to be excited about a new entry. It'll probably be 3D and stuff with tons of "atmosphere".

I had the original Xbox and I loved it, because of that I got the 360 and intially I loved it, but during the later years the consumerization grew so much I just grew disgusted of not only the X360 but other M$ products as well.

To some degree, Sony is getting there as well. Also, I fail to see where the innovation is, there's just no "wow factor" on either the PS4 or the XBOne.

The WiiU at least has the tablet and a few games I may be interested to play. Also, Nintendo seems to be more focused on gaming.
