You know, I don't remember hearing anything about it. Then again, I didn't always read the Editorials or Letters to the Editor back in the day.

I don't think it was just a one-off idea... not a series of ads with scantily clad women (which they *should* have pursued... just think, a new ad every month.... ).

This is my first time reading this thread, and I was going to mention the Neo Geo ad mentioned above (with the woman in lingerie) but it looks like someone beat me to it!  Back in about '91 or so my friend and I got into his dad's stacks of Playboy/Penthouse magazines, and I remember seeing that ad.  I don't think it was too controversial for Penthouse magazine ^^;;;
