Yikes, Well good luck with the new house, nat.

Everything over here is in milk crates until I can start resuming repairs :|

I'm currently using these little mini milk crates. They're actually pretty neat, but they've just gotten filled up. At this point I'd rather invest in a shelving unit or some sort of display rather than keep on buying the mini crates.

They work great, don't they?

The dairy supply place a few blocks from my house throws out the old crates that are slightly damaged or have been hit by graffiti. Whenever I see a usable crate in 1 piece I grab it, they usually dump the ones they don't want the night before the recycling truck comes by, and sometimes they do have to be hosed down.  :-&

Fortunately, after a good cleaning they stack very nicely, and keep the collection organized, if not immediately accessible.

Turbo D

I used to steal milk crates to put my vinyl in, lol. Then I found out that I could get better shaped and more attractively colored crates at the hardware store.

Slowly, slowly, slowly rebuilding...

I've very much sadly missing Rondo of Blood, Gate of Thunder, Winds/Lords of Thunder, Spriggan, Bonk's Revenge and YsI&II (of course more, but those are at the top of my list to get next). As for my low quality picture? Too bad! I'll make another later when I have more stuff again.

My PC Engine is region modded, thanks to Turbokon. My TG-16 just kind of looks pretty on the shelf.

This thread needed to be brought back to life!

Well, I just got my first ever disc-based video game system last night!   :D :D :D

I just got a region-modded PCEngine Duo from Keith Courage.

The U.S.-released Turbo CD games that I already have are as follows (all CIB):

Addams Family, The
Buster Bros.
Cosmic Fantasy 2
Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes
Final Zone II
Lords of the Rising Sun
Magical Dinosaur Tour
Might & Magic III: Isles of Terra - with map!
Prince of Persia
Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective Vol. 2
Sim Earth: The Living Planet
Valis II

- I recently picked the above up in a lot with some HuCard games and some PCEngine HuCard and CD games as follows (all CIB):

Bloody Wolf
Bomberman '94 Demo
CD Denjin (Super Air Zonk)
Detana Twin Bee
Double Dragon 2
Dynastic Hero
Gradius 2 Gofer
Gate of Thunder
Godzilla
Image Fight
Kiki KaiKai (Pocky & Rocky series prequel)
Kunio Soccer
Kunio Kun Dai Undokai (Crash and the Boys Street Challenge, I think)
New Zealand Story (Kiwi Kraze)
PC Denjin (Air Zonk)
Side Arms Special
Strider HiryuuShubibinman 3 (Shockman 3)
Super Darius
Super Star Soldier
Violent Soldier
Wonder Momo
Wonder Boy 3 Monster Lair
Zero Wing

If anyone wants to give me some ideas for which games I should pursue next (although I plan to be busy playing the above), I'd love to hear them.  I have absolutely no experience with any Turbo CD games or PCEngine games other than online reviews.

Your first ever disc-based system? You don't have a PS1 or PS2 or anything???

Get Dracula X, Lords (Winds) of Thunder, YsI&II, R-Type, Bonk's Adventure/PC Genjin, Alien Crush (or Devil's Crush) and Blazing Lazers/Gunhed. Those should be your priorities IMO.

Nope, the only game systems that I've ever owned are as follows (in order of acquiring):

NES
Game Boy
SNES
TurboGrafx-16
Game Gear
Game Boy Color
Game Boy Advance
Nintendo DS
Turbo DUO

I have played a few computer games through the years (Warcraft, Warcraft II, Age of Empires - and its expansions, but that's been about it).  It just so happened that I went through 2 phases where I didn't really play any console games at all - 1995-2002 and then 2004-2010 - (I did play a little on my handheld Game Boy Advance and my Nintendo DS during those times, but almost nothing else.  I was simply either too busy with work or too busy with college (or for a couple of years - too busy with collectible card games like Magic, Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc...)

Oh, I didn't realize you already had those games. The PCE versions are basically the same. In fact, the US version or R-Type is sort of better as it has everything on one card. The JP version was split into two (although the part II has a cheat code in it, which is nice in a way). There was also a CD release of R-Type in Japan. It has some remixed music and cut scenes, so it may be worth checking out if you are into that sort of thing.

A few games have differences. Kato&Ken/JJ&Jeff is probably the biggest. The US version was extremely censored. So much that it lost most of its charm. The Japanese version of Lords of Thunder (called Winds of Thunder) has some extra voices on the shop screen, but that's about it. Of course it games where you need to read and understand text (most RPGs/action RPGs), you'll probably prefer the US version if there is one. The JP version of Bonk's Revenge has some nudity at the end, where Bonk's gets to get it on with a cavegirl at the end.

I'm guessing stuff like this hasn't made an apperance yet, becuase coming across and documenting "demo" and "special versions" is a lot harder than the standard games.  I'm sure he'll add these in when he has time and (documentation)
