Just got an email from ebay, blah blah:
http://pages.ebay.com/sellerinformation/news/springupdate2015/fees-and-features.html

I have a hard time understanding it all, but starting May 1 it looks like they're reducing (maybe eliminating?) the number of free listings that a person gets per month unless they've got a store.  Hopefully, this means people will stop throwing up $300 Bonk 3 manuals or other stupid VGA shit at ridiculous buy it now pricing for perpetuity.

Impressions?  Or do I just lack reading comprehension?

Its possible.  It will maybe remove alot of the retarded postings that people are using as price guides.

I SEARCHED AND SAW 500$ COPY SO THAT'S WHAT I WANT FOR MINE.

The best way to fix gouging is to just blow the entire human race up, though.

aw yeah.
This "max-level forum psycho" () destroyed TWO PC Engine groups in rage: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook "Because Chris 'Shadowland' Runyon!," then the other by Aaron Nanto "Because Le NightWolve!" Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together... Both times he blamed the Aarons in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

No change.  Most sellers don't have all that many unique gouge listings anyway, so they'll still fit in the 20 free per month (or more if they have a store), or they'll just list stuff under alternate accounts.

Leopards don't change their spots, and eBay won't do anything to actually police the cheaters.

I'm convinced that many of these are "fake" listings used as leverage in an off ebay sale; i.e. I'm trying to sell a relatively rare game that has few or no ebay listings, so I put up a ridiculous inflated BIN listing to justify my price, "hey I'm only asking for $500, it goes for $800 on ebay look."

Its going down from 50 listings to 20, and the price is going up to $0.20 per listing from $0.05. eBay wants more items to sell, so they are encouraging it. I misread the email they sent me, which is worded differently.

That said, the email also encouraged people to list more BINs over auctions, so I think they'd prefer it to be less of an auction site. They only care about their bottom line.

If the listing fee structure encourages BIN priced to sell, that's progress.

Yeah, I thought it was limiting the number of BIN sales you could do for free so people would be more inclined to put realistic prices on it.  To be honest, that press release looks like it has been run through a lawyer and then marketer like 10 times back and forth because it seems to say alot, and nothing at the same time.

I kinda liked when BIN was a high price that would go away once bids started or whatever.

This won't stop gougers.  Just like in Jurassic Park, "Life finds a way."  gougers will find a way.  Example:  I took a stroll down the classifieds section of Nintendoage the other day to see if anyone had the few NES, SNES or Cube titles I can't find anywhere.  Prices that I saw scared me as they were all pretty much at or above ebay.  I even saw a major collector say," I know these prices are higher than what pricecharting says but there isn't recent history and I know of multiple "offline" sales that went for $*****."  Nothing like backing up a value with hearsay.
"You CAN'T prove Nulltard/DoxPhile caused ANY harm/damage/sabotage to PCEFX!! You have NO evidence he poached ANY members for his own failed PC Engine forum/site or was a conniving destructive saboteur! ZERO, ZIP, NADA!!! Nulltard did nothing wrong!"
