My latest auction purchase included a loose TG-16 US unit.  Tonight I used cords from my other system and, happily, it came up just fine; this will have an easy life as a backup system.  I have researched a little:
1.  Is a Genesis and/or SMS adapter still the easiest and best option to replace a missing power adapter?
2.  Are there any good composite options available besides modding?  Has anyone come up with a good quality cable to use the rear port connection for composite video/audio?
3. Any good options for a missing back piece (that huge plastic cover that hides the power connection).
THANKS TO ALL PCEFX members who have helped fix my hardware and add to my games library!  What a thrill!

Yes.

A friend of mine bought one of these. They work fine.
But there's no way I'd drop close to $50 (pre-shipping) for a composite connection.
But whatever, I'm just putting it out there.

RetroGameCave used to have stock of these. Not sure from where you'd be able to source them now, though.
They work fine for the PC Engine as well.

Can you solder? I made  a cable over the weekend for $4 by ordering a midi cable from monoprice and splicing on rca cables one the end instead of another din connector.
Works great.

Crud, I was thinking I was on the pce forum. My bad
