@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

I recently picked up a complete copy of Pac-Land, so my old loose copy is now not needed, and I figured I would share a game with the community that I enjoyed a lot as a kid.

If you haven't played this one, it's unique and worth checking out. I always thought the graphics were a bit overly simplistic, but the animation and colors are nice. The default controls will throw you for a loop if you do not expect them. II moves your character left, and I moves your character right, while all of the directional pad buttons make your character jump. The movement is very momentum based, and there are some tricky jumps. Another cool thing about the game are the hidden objects to find, and power pellets to find and allow Pac-Man to take out the ghosts.

It's a lot of fun, and I hope the winner enjoys it and redistributes the game back into the community when they're ready to get rid of it :)

I'll leave this open to the people who are contributing to the community positively in one way or another, so post count isn't as important as the content of those posts, and I will leave it up to personal discretion who goes into the raffle. I doubt I would say no to anyone, though haha :P

I will pick raffle entrant at the end of the 30th of October

Dicer

Such an odd game, ugly on the surface but a good game underneath...

Do not add me, just dumping off some TurboKarma for ya, Good Luck to those who do enter.

tbone3969

I'm down to be entered if you'll have me.

Folks should give this a chance. It is more fun than it should be.

Plus, I actually like the odd control scheme.

Just a quick question, but does anyone know what other home ports were made of this?  I'm assuming maybe Namco Museum?  I never saw a port of it on the NES or Master System, but maybe I just overlooked it...

Don't enter me, as I only have a Japanese system and wouldn't be able to play it.  Good luck to all!

The Famicom port stayed in Japan, and I don't believe it ever came to the Master System. It was on nearly every 8bit computer, though.

It's a fun game but 20 minutes in the music can really start to feel like a drill going through your skull.

Edit: btw I am not looking to enter as I already own a JP copy of the game.

blueraven

I don't have pac-land but I've entered too many raffles recently. Good luck to the winner!

GohanX

Pac Land is really a lot more fun than most people give it credit for. It's especially great as a portable game if you've got an Express.

It came out for the Atari Lynx (portable) as well.

I love the simple grafx on this game and the sound effects and songs take me to another place.  Big favourite.  I always switch the controls before playing though...

Thanks for the raffle  - do not enter me- just wanted to say thanks.

HotJuicyBurgers

I think I may be a little new to the community to be considered but hopefully whoever gets it enjoys it!

Galder

I have never played it and I'd love to on my Turbo Express. Sign me up please if you think I should be in the list.

Gredler

Still accepting entrants for this raffle. Fun and easily underestimated game, take it!

roflmao

Don't add me. Just wanted to send some TurboKarma your way for offering up this underrated game.  I was playing it yesterday!

Damon Plus

Like the game quite a bit in the Atari Lynx. Is this version any different?
