I haven't watched the video. I apologize for this, but you have to sell it. I can't click on every video that gets a new thread but virtually nothing else. The burden is on the poster if the readers of the thread don't feel like clicking though to something that could be anything. Some shitty podcast, some shitty parody video, some shitty MSNBC article, who knows?

But anyway, it sounds like as good of a place as anywhere to mention that "gamers" (that is, the ones deranged enough to self-apply that term...) are not a disenfranchised minority being disparaged by the norms. They are not participants in a civil rights struggle. Many of them certainly ARE man babies, shut-ins, seriously unhealthy, and totally detached from reality. If this video purports that, then I'll say that I agree whole heartedly in the majority of circumstances.

Lately there seems to have been this fucked up movement of the younger market, slothful yet also angry, trying to like...enculture some kind of global respect for thier demographic by pushing back whenever someone questions the value of their culture, such as it is. Well, it's a bunch of shit, this phenomenon. Gamers are actually pretty gross. I can't stand most of them. I'd rather hang out with record geeks, car nerds, musicians, coin collectors, or even crack heads, frankly.

This doesn't included everyone that owns a game by any means, it doesn't even include most of the people here, but in includes %99.9 of everyone who ever preordered a Call of Duty game and eventually put 500 hours into it. I have no respect for these fucks. You aren't the NRA, you aren't Rosa Parks, you aren't Emma Goldman, you aren't Sitting Bull. Mostly just bull.

Btw, there have only ever been two real-life Otakings, I've personally met both of them, and you ain't either. The real Otakings never would have moaned about something like this, they would have instead promoted a positive image of the ota lifestyle so overwhelming that their rivals would drop what they were doing to join in their ota orgy. This is just bitching.

Gavin is a failed comedian who has had a rather lackluster career over all. Nothing he ever did had any impact or impressed anyone. One of the only major things he worked on was on Adult Swim, Soul Quest Overdrive, and it got canceled rather quickly. Now I guess he uses Youtube to spread his form of epic fail. Cool, whatever. The guy is supposedly a bit of a bigot and racist anyway. He has been known to make racist comments then backpedal when called out on it.

Gavin is amazingly funny and successful. His claim to fame? He created Vice. His politics are extremely Conservative which does not jive well with the rest of Vice so they bought him out (Millions) He is currently on The Anthony Cumia Network (Anthony of the Opie & Anthony Radio Duo who was fired for twitter posts a couple of years back) and is extremely political, comical, controversial. I enjoy him very much.

He does not back pedal, he is a Millionaire so you can measure success that way if you'd like. He attacks Social Justice Warriors, PC Police, pretty much the like. The Race card has no affect on him he simply reports hypocrisy and whiny PC babies.
