10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

Just a heads up guys, Sega is giving away some pretty good stuff as part of this "Make War Not Love" promotion.  Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio, and some game called "Hell Yeah" (not for me, I don't think but there it is) are part of the first pack, and apparently tomorrow sometime you can get Streets of Rage II, Binary Domain, and Condemned: Criminal Origins.  Some really cool freebies there!

Go here and install something from it to attach the games to your account:

Cheers I'll have a look at this. I need free stuff!

I really enjoyed playing through Condemned on the Xbox 360. Unless It's definitely worth a playthrough.

And, of course, how can you go wrong with Streets of Rage 2? :)

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't know they were giving away more today.  8)

Looks like you have to get the next batch using the website:

Pretty generous, I always wanted to grab Binary Domain and Condemned.  The Genny titles are just gravy, great ones though.  Gunstar Heroes is coming in the next one.

Hell yeah was already in collection, really odd but brilliant gem...

It really did take 24 hours to get the Steam code and for those that aren't too familiar with Steams' workings, under the Games menu, choose "Activate a Product on Steam" after they eventually email you some code with no instructions or links on exactly how to claim said  freebie.

Yeah, they really weren't exaggerating about that.
Free is free, though.

Yeah, I finally got my code this morning!  I always wanted to grab Condemned, pretty pleased about that.  More stuff for my ever-growing, unfinishable backlog!  Considering grabbing Alpha Protocol for $3.00 too, I've heard good things.

Gunstar Heroes, Renegade Ops & Viking: Battle for Asgard for the third pack. Pretty sweet giveaway!

Yep, claimed everything but the Warhammer DLC since I don't own that game.  Very generous of those guys to give all this away.

They auto mailed me the next code too, awesome giveaway...
