Where do I find the right power supply for my new PCE Briefcase IFU-30 ?

I just picked up a loose/empty PCE Engine Briefcase IFU-30, and went to slot in my PC Engine (white) and found the same Power supply for the PCE console itself won't work on the Briefcase (I guess because it would have to power both devices).

Is there another console with a compatible power supply ? Doesn't seem any of the Genesis Model 1 or 2 will work.  The one from my SuperGrafx or PC  Engine (white) doesn't work.

So question from a "PCE-newb", where would I find a good power supply for this Briefcase.  Anyone selling one, or can point me to a website that is.   I will hit up google for some research, but just figured someone here can likely answer off the top of their head.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just cut-and-pasted this post from a thread I replied to yesterday, in case anyone notices.

I keep aftermarket adapters in stock for refurbished consoles in case this kind of thing happens. The only problem is that they have a power chord that is only about 2 feet long, so you have to plug it in close to the system.

You can buy them on eBay for $2.58 shipped;

It will definitely need a new plug.

...and they take 2-3 weeks if you live in a major city. Or you can buy one from me put together for $9 ($6 + 3p/h) shipped. (this one has been used for about a month so its only about 85% new. I will get it out to you in a few days). I try to keep 5-10 of theses in stock at a time, and will take it down to the Oakland PO (which cuts 1 day off ship time to you).

It will get you back on the road, until you get your supply fixed, or find an "official supply". Send me a pm if you are interested.

If you have a Radio Shack near you still, they have thingies with adaptaplugs.   Thats where I go, since we still have RadioShack here.
This "max-level forum psycho" (:lol:) destroyed TWO PC Engine groups in rage: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook "Because Chris 'Shadowland' Runyon!," then the other by Aaron Nanto "Because Le NightWolve!" Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together... Both times he blamed the Aarons in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

I bought a few of those per thesteve, you need to reverse the polarity (swap wires inside the wall wort) but the tip fit's my briefcase just fine. The cord is very short as has been stated.

i run almost everything off those now
the tip it comes with fits PCE/TG16/IFU/TGCD and famicom
will need the wires reversed for PCE/IFU/TG16/TGCD(and fami if i recall right)

So these don't cause any video interference lines? I used to try adapters that looked just like these in the past and they would always cause some type of wavy interference lines on the screen.

i dont notice any, but im also not too picky about it
worst case you could always put a bigger cap across the output of them
