Quote from: Winniez on 05/24/2017, 01:37 AMEarly FIFA games were really underwhelming in my opinnion. Especially when compared against the EA's own brilliant NHL series.
I played quite lot of the early FIFA games on PC and I would say the first good one was 96. Not sure about 95, that was SEGA exclusive but looks similar to the first FIFA.
I too vouch for ISSD being the best football game of its time, and NHL being the best sport game series.
FIFA 95 is quite nice. Has quite good graphics and sound. It controls well. It's fun up to a point, there's a bug that if you just run down the touch line and shoot near the end the opposing goalie will just dive straight up in the air and you will score every time.
That's quite a bug...it would be fun to watch a compilation video of Old vs. New FIFA bugs.

And I am not a sports fan, especially futbol.

:)
Me either. It's one of very few I have. I like virtua tennis though.

I don't know why games suffer series fatigue, maybe Western publishers just need to learn not to milk it? :-"
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)
BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere. You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

I am still upset that APPARE GATEBALL never blossomed into annual installments.

Also, since this is a sports appreciation thread, let us rejoice and be happy for golf:
