Hi guys,

It's been a long time.  I don't think I've visited or posted for over 2 years now, maybe more.  Anyway, I just wanted to stop in and say hello.  I still see many familiar names and it's nice to see there are some constants in the world.

I have been busy in the pinball world.  A couple years ago I decided to buy my first machine and thanks to some of the good folks here, metal recycling, and selling off baby gear, I finally bought my first pin.  Since then I've had many different pinball machines in my house.  No more than 3 at a time, but they are in constant rotation.  I have found a love for repairing and restoring them and now do this on the side as a bit of a hobby.

I still have my gameroom and it's still filled with TG-16 related items.  I still have my TG-16 w/CD attachment that turbokon modded for me and it's humming along nicely.  I thought of everyone here the other day when I fired up the system and introduced my kids to Bomberman '93.  They enjoyed blowing themselves up more than each other.  We played Magical Chase (emulated), Solder Blade, R-Type, and then fired up the NES and played some Mega Man 2.  My son hasn't played much except for the original Mario Bros. and Marvel LEGO Superheroes on the PS3.  He got extremely frustrated (he's 8 ) with Mega Man until I showed him you can jump and shoot in mid-air.  Stuff you don't think to teach...

Anyway, I am not dead.  I am still lingering around and I hope you don't mind me dropping in like this just to say hello.  Good to see all your familiar faces and I hope you are and your families are all doing well.

Turbo Forever.

I'll stick around for a bit and check out the place.  I've been enjoying reading some of my old PMs.

NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)
BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere. You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

Hey, I second the pinball restoration pics. Seeing someone put in a lot of effort to restore something they find exciting is always interesting. Also, what machines do you have right now, and what has been your favorite so far?

I was just thinking about you in a non gay way the other day :)

I hope you still have that bonk 3 :).  Welcome back man. I wish I was on here more but with my work blocking anything with the word "game" in it I cannot even lurk. Fuckers!!!!

Oh, also
Hugs

Of course I still have it!  I think about it everyday!  My kids aren't big into the game but I enjoy it.  I sold that Magical Chase box I got from you for like a zillion dollars though.

I was thinking of you in a non-gay way the other day too.  My son asked if we could watch that Christmas movie with the aliens!  We hooked another one!  Ha!

My work blocks most sites too but for some reason this one sneaks through.  I ain't going to tell anyone.  :-$

I tried posting a few images here but they were all too big.  Instead I'll link to my Dropbox and you can take a look through there at your leisure.  If anyone has any questions on anything feel free to ask!

I basically shop games for people that don't have time to do it.  "Shopping" includes breaking a game down pretty much to the playfield and giving everything a good going over.  Metal is polished, plastics are cleaned, bulbs swapped.  In the Dropbox folder you'll see F-14 (my first game) and White Water (my second game).  I don't have either game any longer but you can see some of the effort that went into getting them to where I wanted them.  For White Water there are pictures of the Bigfoot toy.  He was missing the hair on the back of his head so I searched for nearly 6 months before finding a match to the fur.  Then I de-stitched the fur, cut it to shape and glued it back to his head.  It was a near perfect match and looked even better after I gave the entire toy a bath.

I also repair connectors, and replace burnt out components on circuit boards.  I've replaced the incandescent bulbs with LEDs and I add mods for people if they want them.

Right now I have 3 pins in my basement but none of them are mine.  A new roof and a foundation repair meant that ownership would have to wait.  Thankfully people always want repairs.  The Transporter game in the Dropbox wouldn't even power on when I got it.  Now it plays 100%.  Many, many board repairs when into that one...

OH man. I love that Whitewater pin.  THere use to be one in the arcades on the boardwalk.  That machine flows like water.  A ton of fun. The big foot is the best part :).

Really cool. looks a like a blast pulling them apart and seeing them come back together!
