@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

First of all the unit has had a complete capacitor replacement and new gear and regrease.
I have adjusted the pots to match an image I found on here but it hasn't helped.
The laser seems to be working as it travels to the centre and then the lens does the bobbing up and down to attempt to read the disc.
When I put in a disc it lazily spins it a few times and then the unit shuts off.
I tried testing the resistance values between the points marked A, B and C and the readings are out. What should the values be on the potentiometer of the laser itself or does this vary from lase to laser?

Ignore (or continue to ignore) this topic, there is a tear in the ribbon cable that I didn't notice.
