I have personally shopped at each of these locations and have either purchased or have seen TurboGrafx-16 merchandise.
I was at Disc Replay of Merrillville a couple of hours ago and they don't have any TG16 stuff.

Hmm.  I was there last week, and while they didn't have any games at that time, they did have a Turbo Tap and a couple of TG-16 controllers, and possibly some other accessories.  I have seen a couple of common sports titles there before, but it may have been a year ago.  The one in Highland did have a little more TG-16 stuff the last I was there - about 2 weeks ago, and I just called Video Palace yesterday and spoke with the owner and he rattled off 10+ titles that they currently had, and I was only asking about TG-16 HuCards.

KnightWarrior

Seems like Gamedude, don't sell TG-16 anymore..the link is dead

Just stopped by Video Palace today in Hobart, IN, and saw their TG-16 stock - Neutopia w/case no manual, Blazing Lasers w/case & manual, Tiger Road w/case, Alien Crush no case, Double Dungeons w/case no manual, and 4-5 other games - none that I needed though, so I didn't buy anything.

Stay away from my stores . JK Cool stuff is really the only need you need to go to I've found some amazing deals there, about half my turbo collection came from there.

Does anybody know of any good retro game stores in Richmond, VA?  They don't necessarily need to sell turbo.  I'm gonna be up there in a few weeks for a concert & am gonna be there for a few days, so I figured I should see if there was anything interesting there.

Airiel & Screen Vinyl Image are playing, but Airiel's the band I'm going to see. :D  They're Chicago-based & don't tour much, so some friends & I are making the trip from NC to see em.

Haven't been there for a couple weeks but Disc Replay in Flint, MI had some TG-16 games.  I did pick up a couple: Falcon and Tricky Kick (both CIB)  I'd need to check them and post back if they have any (after I buy something for myself of course )

For this site do u just check the inventory by clicking on said console and then looking at that list they have. Its hard to tell if thats just a list of what they have, or is it a list of what they have and why they are charging for it?

JohnRiggs

in Washington State, there's also Sunken Treasures in Richland, WA. They have a TG-16 for sale as well as a loose Bonk's Adventure, Neutopia II, Legend of Tonma (complete with $150 price tag) and another Turbo CD game.

Amazing Heroes in Kirkland, WA sells games as well, though I've never been there to confirm. They have them listed.

Video Game Trader - Brick NJ - search TRS gametrader or http://www.videogametrader.com/ - print there own Video Game Trader Mag. that list the price of all vintage games, updated annually.  However don't expect to find a deal here.  Semi-rare HU card onlys over $20  . . .  however a few games may be reasonable
the guy is also opening a store in- Buford GA
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)
BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere. You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

I'll throw a couple your way.

The three Tulsa area Game-X-Changes in Oklahoma all carry Turbo stuff. If we can get it. I used to handle all the "collectible" items for the stores but now that I am living out of state I don't now how much our stores will take in.

Also for consideration is Vintage Stock. While not the best shopping experience (poor customer service) these stores will occasionally have a few TG-16 Games. Also this is for Tulsa, Oklahoma

I hate to put the nail in the coffin for any locations that might have 'bob, but in Mass, "Play n Trade" is no longer in Walpole. Doors have shuttered a few years back.

But on the flip side, you can add "Sudden Impact" in Boston.

Sudden Impact is probably the best place around Boston for Turbob now.
I haven't been to Tokyo Kid in ages...wonder how his PCE stock is doing.

HA! Last time I went he had about a dozen or so of all common garbage. Maybe he has acquired more since then, but it doesnt really matter. His prices are so far off the wall it's not even funny. You would think with the amount of stuff that is packed in there, he would want to part with some of it. It is a retail STORE after all.
To give you an idea, on any given game, take the highest eBay sale of the last year or so and add 30%.
I know some places leave room to haggle, but that place is crazy.
I saw GameCube metroid for something like $55.
And best example was he had two loose mighty bomb jack carts for NES. One was priced $11 and the other $17. Why? Because the label was in shit condition on one of them. Nice job buddy, way to split hairs on a game that should be $3

chapel

wow, really? that high? crap. Was hoping to go there to stock up.

I was at Replay'd (Allston, MA) over the weekend and this was the extent of their turbob.

Galaga '90 (loose) - $14
TurboPad (well used as the d-pad and buttons were mushy) - $12

psychobear

Las Vegas

Nec.Game.head

Theirs a place in Riverside ca called Video Game Trader .. They have a decent amount of Hu card games and a couple of sealed Super cd games ..

They got turbo games at the Sunken Treasures? I'm glad someone else is in the area.

There's a facebook page for him if needed. His pricing is mostly on the ebay gouging levels (especially on TG-16 games ) but every once in a blue moon I can find something that was obvously unreasearched. That's about it near me besides the Blackwater NJ store you already have listed.

Well, I just today discovered a Retro game store not on this list in Murrieta, California - It's between Los Angeles and San Diego, but closer to San Diego.  It had a LARGE selection of retro games with a pretty good Turbo section with a complete TG-16 briefcase unit - complete with nice briefcase, TG-16 console, CD attachment, Turbo Tap, 2 Turbo Arcade Sticks, System Card and 2 loosie Hucards - Keith Courage & Moto Roader for $299.  That's probably a fair price for 'in the wild', and it seemed as though they might have some leeway for dickering.
I took some pics of the store (with the manager's approval).  Here they are.

They had 34 different TG-16 games with some extra duplicates (about 10) of various games.  (Like they had 3-4 copies of Blazing Lazers.)  The 2 boxed games that you see in the pics (J.J & Jeff and Psychosis) were both in very nice condition, and while I already had both games CIC, I had the cardboard retail boxes for neither, so I asked the manager if I could just give them $5 each for the boxes alone (complete with styrofoam insert), and he said, "Sure.", so I got 'em for $10.00 flat, no tax, and I felt that it was fair to both the store and myself.

Store information is as follows:

M & M Video Games
40635 California Oaks Road
Murrieta, CA 92562
951-461-6961
mandmgames.net - (I'm not sure if this website works.)

While I have not been there personally, the store manager told me that they have one other location - in Upland, CA which is a little closer to Los Angeles - with a very similar selection of retro games, including TG-16 stuff.  Its information is as follows:

M & M Video Games
110 South Mountain Avenue
Upland, CA 91786
(909) 931-4424

Thanks for the tip on Gameworld.  Travelled to Vegas for work and checked them out. Found a game I've wanted for a while.

Both stores originally posted about are gone from New Jersey.

I only know of two current stores in the state:

South Jersey
NEXT LEVEL VIDEOGAMES - Blackwood NJ

North Jersey
Digital Press - Clifton NJ

NOTE: VGT is gone as mentioned above from the area
NOTE: Store in Toms River burnt down

I just went to Classic Game Junkie in Glenside, PA. Amazing selection of all consoles, they have pretty much everything, even Game & Watches. Unfortunately, most prices are based off of eBay, and the Turbo section is very small. I did get U.S. Dungeon Explorer II for only $30. If you're in the area, I'd say check it out anyway.
