I havn't seen it yet, is it worth the money and time to go see? Don't ruin(post) anything that's gonna happen in the movie, I just want to know your honest opinion, was it good or bad?

nat

I am seeing it tomorrow night and let you know what I think at that time.

I bet it's going to rule. That new Burger King commercial with Krusty does, at any rate. :3
Forgive me, my brain is on par with the Bubble System.

Its super funny, like 3 really good episodes put together.  Plus no songs or any bullshit like that, just non-stop hilarious stuff.  It was worth every penny.

ParanoiaDragon

Is it like the last several seasons(basically since 2002 when the quality of the show dropped off the face of the planet) or is it more like the early to mid 90's when the show was in it's prime(& funny)?

I never got into the Simpsons, but I do want to see this movie.

Its entertaining, but won't be as rewatchable as the TV episodes. Its kinda like a pre-relaunch Family Guy movie.

There is an actual story, but its kinda clunky and only serves as a backdrop for a series of funny jokes/gags, which are much more adult oriented than The Simpsons TV show(more in line with Family Guy).
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

The quality of the simpsons has been consistent for the last 15 years, the first 3 seasons were the weakest.  I know, I've seen every single episode at least 4 times.

ParanoiaDragon

That depends on taste, most people I know personally, don't like the Simpsons anymore because the writing just got dumb, & I figured it out, atleast for me, 2001 was the last year where the show was consistently funny.  I can't quite put my finger on what changed, it seems cruder, but, I don't think that's it.  It just......is dumber or something.  Like, they started making Homer too dumb.

Occasionally, there will be an episode that's decent, but it's rare.  This is just my own view of it.  Though, in a recent article interviewing the creators of the show, one of them noted there's alot of hardcore fans, that don't like the newer Simpson shows, & that it's golden age was between season 3 & 5 which is around what I consider the golden age, though, my so called golden age is much broader then that.  And the first couple seasons of the show, don't do much for me either, though I still enjoy them more then the newer ones.

Edit-And why is this in console chat???

There was a period, a few seasons in a row early on, when it was great. But then it became too connect-the-dots'ish and has been consistant like that ever since, like GUTS said.

Its not bad, its just not something I try to watch every Sunday night when new episodes are on their first run anymore. I wouldn't mind buying all the seasons on dvd and watching them in a row... if they were like $10 each(what is this, like the 19th season or something?).

Yeah you could say so, though I'm not really into the series past the first few seasons. Beavis & Butthead rules them all though!

Hah, I can't quite explain it. I tend to like movie versions of cartoon series and the movie previews for The Simpsons movie looks more appealing to me for some reason.

I just saw the movie. It's worth it even if you're just a casual fan, like me.

The funniest part by far was the "spider pig" bit. I nearly fell out of my chair. Plus they kept playing that song over and over in the background. Priceless.

I need to have someone explain that to me. That was in the trailer, and everybody thinks that's the funniest shit ever, but I don't. What am I missing, apparently besides the boat?

Its because you don't have a crayon lodged in your brain and/or there's no place in this world for the man with the 100 IQ.

The same thing happens during the Mr Bean trailer that I've had to sit through during the last three movies I've watched lately. Its totally Two Grooms.

I'm not sure how much of the scene the trailer actually showed of this, but you had to see everything leading up to it. Totally non-sequitor. If it makes you feel any better, I was laughing harder than anyone else in the theatre during that bit. Combined with the idiotic song he was singing the moment was pure gold.

Yeah you really have to see it, the foot prints on the ceiling and the whole "you can't kill something once you put man clothes on it!" bit were fucking hilarious.
