Wow, that's a great deal you got for the Super Grafx!

Unfortunately I can't help you with your problem as I am a big greaseball American and don't know about that stuff out there, however there are numerous Europeans here who can probably help you! :)

Welcome aboard, har, haarr, haaarrr!

I believe he needs a stepdown converter to lower the voltage from his wall to the psu. Or, he could just look for one at the UK radioshack equivalent that has the same stats( but I think he did at that Maplins?).

Indeed, welcome aboard.  Are you looking for the original psu's stats so you can get a 240 volt adapter to replace it?  Otherwise, any decent step-down converter will power the original psu.

Aren't the specs written right on the original SuperGrafx psu, or do you have a generic one?  What CD add-on do you have (it will need to be plugged in too)?

the specs of the original psu are output DC 9V 800mA. You can have more mA than that since it will only draw 800mA.

That's not the specs for the original SGX PSU. I have it around somewhere, I'll look for it (my old toasted but I still kept it).

What do you mean?

I have one right next to me. That's exactly what it says.

My SuperGrafx came with the pad-113 psu and is the original for it. It is even written out in the manual with the same model number and specs.

I got a Supergrafx sans power adaptor as well, a long time ago.  It has the same size power plug as the Super CD-ROM unit, but the polarity is reversed.  If you have a SCD-ROM unit and want to power your SGX with it, you could open up your SGX and reverse the polarity of the power plug like I did.

Of course it means you can't run CD and SGX games at the same time, but it saves on the time spent hunting down a power adaptor.

Must have been the polarity I was thinking of then...

You're welcome.

1. Get an SGX power pack
2. Punctuate comprehensibly.

OK, onto step #2  :D
