1943 Kai graphics issue

Yesterday i received this game and i just couldn't wait to try it out. My oh my.... I was kinda shocked. The game is great. No doubt about it, but there is massive "blinking" in the graphics. For instance, the clouds appear, then disappear. Over and over again. Is this a known issue with this game?

From what I remember of playing 1943 Kai the graphics suffered from some serious flickering, although I don't remember the clouds doing it, just enemy sprites.  Thats nothing though compared to the ULTRA annoying, constant beeping noise in 1941 on NES.

Heh, I have 3 Super Grafx's, but I can't get myself to spend the money on 1941

I have one supergrafx and 2 1941s, lol. No, you can't have one

There's a bit of flicker, but nothing I remember that stands out as a huge issue.

Well, i just have to live with it then. What a shame. But still a great game though.
