does anyone know what is the difference between kisado(?) and driver hucard converters?
I have below two different types of hucard adaptor but from what I saw Kisado looks pretty similar to the driver style I have except it's in red?

I don't know this from personal experience, but I have heard that other card converters may not fit the Duo, or may not allow enough clearance for things like the arcade cards or the ten no koe bank card.

Why do people spend so much on the converter?  You can pick up a Coregrafx for the price some of them go for.  I could understand not wanting to deal with another power plug being used or space saver but man I just think they're way overpriced for these things.

well I used to have two converters for collection but recently sold one and the other one might go up for sale next year if I need some cash... :p

I also used to have PC Engine Duo, PC Engine suitcase setup but sold those and now only have Duo-RX and heavily modified SGX.

You can also install a region switch on either the original TG unit, or the Duo. Converters are unreliable junk, and way too expensive.

The kisado's weren't so expensive in the past; maybe half the price they go for now. At the time I got mine, they were supposed to be the best ones out there. I've never needed another converter.
