I was watching the retrospective on final fantasy and they mentioned a spin-off of the series that was made specifically with the US gamers in mind and it came out in the US a year before it came out in Japan. That got me thinking: was there ever any games that were made with the US/english speaking market in mind and only came out on the TG16 or came out on the TG16 before the PCE?

Tatsujin

there are a lot US TG16 games only. or which came out on the TG16 before the PCE.

Dragon's Curse also came out in the U.S. before Adventure Island (its Japanese name) did, as far as I know.  There may be more...

This isn't exactly what's being asked for, but Ballistix, Dungeon Master, Lords of the Rising Sun, Might & Magic III, Prince of Persia, Shadow of the Beast, Shape Shifter, Sherlock Holmes I & II, SimEarth, & the TV Sports titles are all ports of games originally aimed at English markets and developed by US/UK companies.  Lemmings also falls into this category, though it had no US release.

CrackTiger

Made specifically for TG16 that came out on TG16 before PCE-

Shapeshifter

Some ports made specifically for TG16 that came out on TG16 before PCE-

Sherlock Holmes CD
Sherlock Holmes CD 2

TV Sports Basketball
TV sports Football
TV Sports Hockey

Not sure if these ports were made for the TG-16, since the PC Engine recieved other Psygnosis games that the TG-16 didn't:

Shadow of the Beast
Ballistix
Klax -likely made with the PC Engine in mind.

-Might & Magic III was made for the PC Engine like it's pedecessor and later translated for TG-16. Dungeon Master is a japanese version with anime cinemas.

I believe that all of the TG-16 exclusive games have already been listed.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

RR1980

wow thanks guys I had no idea there were that many TG16 exclusive games. All these yrs I was under the impression that the TG16 people didn't have much to do beside porting PCE games ](*,)

NigazAllucard

I didn't know all that games listed. Only shadowgate and darkwing duck! :-k
And probably the better Us releases! :o
Ok, turrican too!

Are Biking Girls, Hawaiian Girls and Local Girls of Hawaii actual games? ... Seriously, I didn't even know they existed until reading this, and having checked Mobygames (they aren't in the database) and gamefaqs (which lists them under "action" games, har har) I'm now really curious. And not just for purely prurient interests, either. Not entirely, anyway.

guyjin

I think those 3 were just CD+G's labeled for the TG16. I don't know for sure, though.

They're just pictures of scantily clad ladies without even the small benefit of some tunes to listen to while ogling.  The bums even blacked out the few naughty bits to protect our retinas from pixelated crotches and nipples.

They're quite similar to a CD+G but coded specifically for the Turbo (boot like a game, not through the CD player).

Yeah, doesn't sound like much of a game at all and what's even the point if it's censored as well. Gotta say I'm glad we have the intrawebz now and no longer have to resort to getting pr0n on the TG-16.  8-[ ... Nope, didn't just say that.

The pictures are also horribly pixelated and grainy, it seems to me they could have done a better job given the Turbo's capabilities. Some pics are worse offenders than others in this regard, but it's hard to look at many of them because of this fact.

So Are Biking Girls, Hawaiian Girls and Local Girls of Hawaii actaually official "games", or similar to the Game Express releases?

They weren't licensed, no, if that's what you're asking. They are on official pressed discs, but they were not licensed by TTi or NEC.

So I guess that would put them in the Games Express category.

Yeah, that was the other thing: I did an Ebay search and came up empty-handed (except someone used the words "Bikini Girls" in the title of a listing for Lady Sword). So that usually says to me that the game is either rare or so common, cheap and worthless that no one is even bothering to list it (and it's usually the former given the fact that people list games for less than a buck sometimes).

nat

Yeah, Bikini Girls and those discs are rare. Expect to pay no less than $70 or so if you ever feel the need to own them.

Nope, no need here. I'm not that big of a collector, and if I need some cheesecake, I've got the Dragon Knight series. Those are actual games!
