Quote from: RoyVegas on 05/25/2009, 06:58 PMI don't care how old this post is.  It needs to be brought to the top just due to the kiosks pure beauty.  Damn that thing looks amazing and I can't help but look at it every few days.  I'm insanely jealous!
Dude, thanks for resurrecting this thread because I wouldn't have gone gone back that far (I'm catching up on old threads from the last few weeks).

The kiosk is in fantastic condition. And the TG-16 logo just kicks ass in all its glory on the pure black obelisk of NEC.

Back in the day, the kiosk at ToysRUs was never in as pristine condition. Plus, usually there was a video being played on a loop at the ToysRUs I frequented.

I am insanely envious. The only thing that makes me happy is knowing that it has a good home.

Goddamn!

Very Very NICE!!!!

Now all you need to do is incorporate an arcade style interface for the controllers to make it a stand up machine!

Now tell me that wouldn't be KICK ASS!  =D>

I think at one time they had a arm that held a controller for a arcade feel but i am not sure, as i can not find much to any reference on it.
I do have a set of screw holes that are located under the white system holding shelf  :-k (this might have been discussed but i forget )

but ya i am due for an update of this pict... i put a 27 JVC D-series in place of the 21 inch you see next to the Kiosk, f'n saweeeet, plus the duo and pce library is growing... thanks to my buds on here :)

Thanks again for the kind words

Hey Sparky... I know you're busy, but if you get a chance, would it be possible to take some pictures of the rear/interior/top/etc. views of the kiosk? I know these views aren't too exciting, but I am just curious about how the kiosk is constructed, how much room/shelving there is, what doors (if any) were available, etc.

Thanks in advance, regardless if you ever do it :)

Awesome, thanks!

And the picture above, with the swivel/tilt plexiglass window is great (I had assumed it was fixed in place--with the monitor accessed from the rear of  the cabinet--or that the plexiglass could be removed by sliding it up grooved slots in the side panels.)

:)

A $74,000 game room and you can't finish the dry wall around the window, come on!  I hope that basement is above Flood Plain.

Sweet Kiosk, and I love that everything else in that room is shamed by its presence.

Seriously! And, what's the name of the Japanese celebrity (some middle-aged guy) who promoted the RomRom Amp in the Japanese print ads! I want him in the pic as well!

Quote from: guest on 09/28/2008, 10:40 PMThe TG16 Kisok is up and running and man I am pleased with it...
with a 21 inch TV installed and with the dark plexie front on the Kiosk it hides the TV somewhat and makes it look like one piece,
with a little adjustment to contrast/brightness the screen freak'n punches and almost looks like an arcade... damn I am in love... :D

Hey Sparky.  Can I ask, where did you get those shelves on the left side of the room?  I have been looking for shelving for my games to put in the basement and am having a hard time.  Theres some stuff at Ikea that I might buy, but I like yours better.
Another douche trying to obtain a full Turbo collection.  119/146 so far.  Got a long way to go. Half way there. Hit the 100 mark. ich bein ein obeyer

hey man, sorry for the late reply....

Ya those bookcases you see are from walmart which i connected 5 together giving me 11'  of shelving space :)
(i cannot find the black ones online but here it is in oak ) http://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-5-Shelf-Bookcase-Alder/11061209#ProductDetail

Then i went to Home Depot and found some 10-12 foot long black shelving that can be cut to fit which match up perfectly to give me the extra shelves i needed.

Henry, with the rate you're grabbing up PCE collections, I figure you should pick that up!  Seriously that is some awesome stuff, I woulda considered grabbing it myself IF the seller hadn't messed with it and modded it to play TG cards instead of its original state...  You can drop-ship it to RR at Hongkong and have him inspect it before shipping it to you the last mile.  lol.   RR -> sorry for volunteering your services.  hahah

Quote from: henrycsc on 07/05/2010, 10:18 PMSparky, you need to get this to put inside the kiosk.  :)

LOL, yeah, I hear ya.  I am buying a lot of stuff - trying to make up for lost time - figure I'll get a better deal buying in bulk.  :)
That one's not on my radar though.  Not yet, anyway.  Has anyone documented what was actually used inside the kiosk?

Sparky, Is the entire cabinet black laminate, or is it painted?  The TG-16 logo on the sides is that a sticker or is the entire side some sort of laminate with the decal built into it?
I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.
