I must share my happiness with you all.  I've been waiting for this day for 20 years.(almost).  I finally got it into my hands...... Yes,, the Pce-LT.  have been waiting for someone to post this bid for sooo long, and I finally won it at a costly price of 36,000 yen. (well I personally think the price was great compared to Ebay.)  it was tough tho; cus those guys in Yahoo Japan never want to ship overseas.. so I had found someone locally to bid and mail it to me which wasn't easy.  So Thank god I won.  I've been staring at it for the past 30mins,,.... man it just looks too good.  anyway,, just wanted to share with ya guys,,,
here are the pics..

Congrats wilson  =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~.

I've been wanting one for awhile (and boxed would be even better).   The last few have either gone insanely high, broken.bent antenae, missing port plugs, etc.

Yeah, and when you're done, mail it to me

I've toyed with doing a home-made LT jobby, a la Ben Heck. I figured it'd be doable somehow with Coregrafx, a gamecube monitor, a controller, and a dremel. Dunno.

And nice score btw!

Does it take batteries?  Or do you have to plug it in to use it?  Congrats!  Those are really nice!  How big is the screen?  How's the clarity, is it active matrix or dual scan?  How do the speakers sound on it?  wow that was a lot of questions..

Very nice!  I've bought a ton of stuff through Yahoo Japan Auction! using Celga.  Sometimes you need to be careful though.  A lot of prices on Yahoo Japan Auction can be as bad as ebay.  If you search the pc-engine section on there there's some games that are priced pretty crazy.  I guess price gouging is everywhere.  Anyways that's freaking awesome.  Looks like the Gameboy Advance SP stole the LT's design. Congrats again!

You can tell if it's active or passive if the screen blurs during any graphical movement.  It's probably active.  Too bad it doesnt take batteries..  I wonder if you can get a rechargeable battery pack for it.

What is the point of playing an LT if they are not portable? Makes no sense. I'd rather have a PCE GT.

I think the PC Engine LT is a great option for married gamers. You can play it while your spouse occupies the TV. And since the screen is larger it might be full resolution instead of only partial resolution like the GT screen. I know in my house there's an outlet near the couch, so I can plug in my GBA if the batteries run low and still enjoy the company of my wife while she watches TV.

People like that obviously need to make fun of others just to get some happiness out of their sad lives ,and or they are mentally still in their grammar school years.

I occassionally see older people playing PSP, DS, and such so why is it so wrong to carry a GT around?

Who said I was crapping on his purchase? Actually I am happy the topic creator got his hands on a very rare PC Engine system. I first thought the LT was a sleeker GT. Therefore I said I rather buy a GT when I learned it wasn't a portable. As a matter of fact if I had loads of money to spend I'd probably would buy one just to show it off to every gamer online.

As for me being insecure, I am now over that phase. I really don't care what others think of me. I am much happier that way. Life is long.

I say it. because you've turned a thread about the awesome LT into a thread about you.

I don't know why Aaron has decided to tolerate you - you clearly broke the forum rules, and his allowing your exception will only encourage trouble - But I will not anymore. This will be my last communication with you.

The pixel count for the pc engine LT is 144,000, which is close to what the pc engine puts out, the pce gt has less than half of that...this is from 101 pcengine secrets and another place i cant remember the name of.

Wow, that's better than I expected and if true is actually beyond the PCE's capabilities (the PCE Secrets page says the LT can't show every pixel, but 512x242 is only 123,904 pixels).  Pixels to spare for more sexiness.

Yea, that is high, but I'm sure i read it some where else as well, course, one could be echoing what the other wrote, for comparison, the Sony PSP has a pixel count of 130,560.

It's pure foolishness to expect everyone to instantly forgive and forget your past asshat behavior.  You made many past claims of reform, only to return to the same ol' crap, so don't expect everyone to give you the benefit of the doubt now, accept you with open arms, and call you brother.

If you truly have changed and want to be a contributing member of this forum, then delete the bullshit from your signature, ignore anyone that speaks ill of you, and quit stirring up drama.  If you actually manage to keep your nose clean for a decent length of time, then you'll surely earn some people's respect (though some is likely forever lost).

I believe OP wanted to share his joy for owning such an awesome piece of hardware as opposed to creating the perception that he was just showing it off.

This also assumes he has loads of money to spend, which in his defense, he probably saved for a long time.

Anyhow, great purchase!  I hope to save a lot of money and own one myself one day.  Question, what is more comfy ?  onboard controls or separate controller ?

I think most people use a separate controller to keep the onboard controls tight and free from wear & tear. The system is rather top heavy and awkward to hold for a length of time which is another reason to set it down and use a separate controller.
