10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

PC ENGINE STUFF:
Huge update coming soon. I just bought a PC Engine Duo-R that was Region modded with S-video.
I have a ton of games coming with it as well.  FINALLY... I get to try some CD based games!!!!

I'll list these soon... it is a bit tougher to list these due to the JAP names and whatnot.
Right now I have 29 HU cards.  1 Tennokoe Bank. A PCE Engine Duo-R (Region Modded)

I placed an order for over 50 other ones.  Lots of different sports stuff... but that's okay.  I like the variety of the HU Cards and I like to play different versions of some of the baseball games and strange stuff like Horse Racing.  LOL

I am working on acquiring a minimum of HuCard, Instruction Manual, and Jewel Case, but having the cardboard Retail Box is a bonus if I can get it as well.
I currently have none of the TurboGrafx CD games yet and no equipment to play said games, so I'm looking into getting a Japanese Duo-R to be able to play Japanese HuCards and all of the CD games as well, since I also don't have an adapter to be able to play Japanese HuCard games on my U.S. TurboGrafx-16.

Any thoughts on which games I should try to acquire next would be appreciated.

That's the smart way to go!

Order of the Griffon - my favorite RPG on the TG/PCE. 3/4 view overworld and combat screens, first-person towns and dungeons. Lots of fun and flexibility in the turn-based combat system. Good if you like the Ultima, Westwood, or SSI games.
Dead Moon - awesome underrated shooter with lots of parallax and not too expensive.
Bomberman '94 (once you get a Duo-R) - better and cheaper than U.S. '93.

If you don't a Space Harrier port yet, the TG version is a good one.
I'm a cunt, always was. Topic Adjourned.

This sounds promising! I just picked up this game recently but haven't had a chance to play it yet. Now I'm gonna have to move it to the top of the list

This thread has been dead for a long time.  Anyway, last night i put all my turbo games in little plastic bags to protect the Obey. Took some pictures as well. I love the little bags. Makes the the games stand out from the rest of my stuff.
