I am giving my duo to my cousin (he and I got TG16's new when we were 15 years old)

He has a turbo tap, 5 controls, all that stuff.

Is there an adapter available that allows the larger TG16 contollers to plug the smaller duo/pc-engine port?

I am upgrading to a Duo-R/RX or super grafx + cdrom-2.  I have disposable income, my cousin does not & has wanted a duo for years.  So I figure cheaper option since he does the multiplayer games is to allow him use of all his older turbo grafx controls + tap.

I really appreciate the feedback!!!!!!!!!!

not that I know of. but there is all kind of amateur made things in the net.

Don't listen to tats; the martinis must be getting to him.

They did indeed make an official adapter for using TG-16 controllers on Duos/PCEs (Part No. HES-DIN-01), though they don't show up too terribly often.  As an alternative, your cousin could swap the cable on his TurboTap for one from a donor (donair?) Duo controller (clicky).

That adapter allows you to use a TG-16 pad or Turbo Tap on a Duo system. It does not allow you to use a Duo Pad on a Turbo Grafx System which is what it sounds like you are looking for. The only adapters capable of that are custom mods or Reverse Taps.

the adapter works with the turbo tab.  You won't need 5 duo pads, normal turbo pads will do.

No, don't be fooled by sneaky Americans. This is actually a mini-DIN to cigarette lighter adapter:

Apparently, this product is rather dangerous (burnt fingertips, charred HuCards, etc.)

HAHAHAHAHA

Sooooooo I just went into the attic where I had a box of old video game stuff... along with a dead atari lynx, a 2600, and random stuff...

I ALREADY HAD ONE OF THESE TURBO GRAFX TO DUO CONTOL ADAPTERS THAT I STARTED THIS THREAD FOR!!!

Back in 1997, when I ordered my Duo from TZD, I ordered extra accessories (to include an extra set of duo cables, ect....) I kept thinking... if this existed, I maybe ordered it & so yes... I have one!  funny.

I also found a Diving board PC-engine to turbo converter?  Wonder if it still works?  It wont fit in my Duo?

Ceti Alpha

hahaha. Nice! I forget whether the diving board converter works on the Duo.  :-k

Diving board definitely fits in the duo. For some reason, my diving board isn't compatible with my duo; my diving board doesn't have that yellow wire I've seen on others though, I think that is why.
