Has anyone considered releasing an IPS patch with some tweaked numbers to bring Exile: WP to a playable challenge level? I certainly don't have the skills, but I think owners of the game would love the change.

funny i was just wondering if this was possible.  I don't have the first clue when it comes to that stuff, but it's been on my mind since i just beat the game last night.  If the levels were fixed i would be way more likely to play this again, b/c as it stands the boss fights just become so tedious and boring.
currently playing:
PCE - Raiden
SNES - Chrono Trigger
DC - Fast Striker

PCE LP

Exactly.  If you're not up to the challenge/cheapness of the US version, then just play the PCE version (there's not much of a language barrier).

It's the principle. There'd be some satisfaction in fixing what WD broke for no good reason. WP isn't unbeatable, but it's unnecessarily broken.

That's the point - the original PCE version is unbroken, so why not just play it?

There'd be some satisfaction in FIXING what WD broke, ie playing the US version the way it should be.

Because it's not in English?

I don't see how the American version is as hard as everyone says. The only hard part really is the last dungeon, more specifically the sub-boss Djinn, but it just requires a little memorization like most old games do. Believe me if I can beat it, anyone can 8) .

Only the stats are broken in the US version...both the bad scrolling and terrible coldet exist in the original, though they're just not as noticeable as much since the stats aren't broken.
Turbo Badass Rank: Janne (6 of 12 clears)
Conquered so far: Sinistron, Violent Soldier, Tatsujin, Super Raiden, Shape Shifter, Rayxanber II

Yeah, I was speaking strictly of fixing enemy stats.
