@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

They are basically saying to be patient while avoiding traps set by eBay sellers to lure in future insta-collectors. Even well intentioned gamers can add to the problem if they don't wait and do some research.

The point is, why are you asking "if people actually do this?" You know that there are people who do.

Why not just make a comment like "It's unfortunate that asshole resellers take advantage of the uninformed and impatient. If only people would learn about the items they somehow feel that they must have immediately(!) instead of just throwing money at these guys and giving them a reason to do this".

I hate guys like this.  The main thing is claiming it's "like new" when he doesn't even have the original jewel case.  That means no spine sticker either, if you can even live with the fact that the game will never fit into the box properly.  You can't buy anything off of ebay and expect it to be truly new, people just assemble the box, manual, and game from separate sources and pawn it off for "complete" prices.

Huh?  It says it has the box insert, so there's nothing stopping you from putting the HuCARD, sleeve, and manual back in the box, just like when it was new.

I mean to say the hucard isn't going to fit into the jewel case with the CD spindle there, no strap to hold it down, etc.  It's just going to slide all over the place.

But, I stand corrected and everything is present to say it's complete.  I just got burned a couple times on ebay where they cobbled together all the parts separately and then sold it as new, the real problem being that the individual pieces were all showing wear.  Seeing a generic CD jewel case got my suspicions all riled up I guess!

PikachuWarrior

I'm sure he hollowed out the spindle teeth and the put adhesive to hold the plastic hucard sleeve to the case so you can slip the game in and out, in and out.

I feel you man. The only time an eBay seller ever dicked me over was for a CIB copy of Dragon Spirit...

But in that dude's defense, I totally misread the auction, and it was only supposed to be for the box (which I later traded for a copy of Scooby Doo on the SNES).

I'm afraid that you won't find it for less than $200 on eBay. Unless you're an even ever bigger CIB fan. In which case it sells for anywhere from $38 - $50.

So you can see where the seller is coming (/getting his stock) from.

This just happened to me last month. I bought up a copy ofarch the land and.  I get the package and wvwrything is great. Box looked to be in good condition minu art book was minty and ectras like tge custom memory card case and such.  But there was no game.

I go ebay to complain and realized when I re read the original sellers description is said no game included.

I felt really frustrated at myself for making such I mistake. Luckly this is easy to fix as the game itself not including the ce extras is fairly cheap. Lucky me I only spent $20 on the empty box

$20 Bucks would be just fine by me.  The only game I think I owned w/o a jewel case was New Adventure Island, I can't remember any others.  I would probably order a couple jewels from Seymour Onion though especially if I didn't have the outer box.  I'm not collecting Outer boxes really so no big deal.  I did keep the Cosmic Fantasy 2 box though for some reason.

I'm afraid that you won't find it for less than $200 on eBay. Unless you're an even ever bigger CIB fan. In which case it sells for anywhere from $38 - $50.

So you can see where the seller is coming (/getting his stock) from.
The Turbo version of NAI doesn't have a jewel case.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!
