Ah, that's the info I was originally wondering about.

I just wish there were more local options for me to buy here in Maine! I might be the only guy in the state with a working Turbo, and I struggle to find anywhere online that isn't absurdly priced.

Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

The best is how he charges that price and then offers a $40 discount if you send him your existing TG-16, Power Supply and Controller.  For many people it would cost that much just to ship it to him, and then he's charging $350 after.  Yeesh.

I wouldn't count on that.  I recently shipped a statue via GSP and it arrived slightly damaged due to shipping.  The buyer filed for a refund, even though i don't offer refunds on collectibles and vintage stuff. ebay/paypal immediately rips the cash from my account and then asks for me to answer some questions. then they say if it is damaged in shipping to let them know.  i did so, and the didn't give a sh!t.  got an email stating they "sided with the buyer" and that i had to refund his money, plus pay for the return shipping!

Yeah I agree. I saw the lords of thunder tape as well, and remember seeing a copy of it up for $24.99 shipped a few months back. When I saw the ZOMG RAER in the subject header I had to double-check to make sure that it was the same VHS.

Do those work pretty well? With all the BS extra hardware built into snes carts, I've always been wary of the SNES flashcart.

NightWolve

No problems with it that I could see when I tested various games and played Namco's "Wild Guns" at length. The OS is still worked on with possible further support for games that have chips still unemulated.

https://sd2snes.de/blog/compatibility

Main games that are not supported that people care about are "Super Mario RPG" and "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island," but it pretty much is the best flashcart in terms of support and features.

Sorry to derail the topic, but I might be sold hearing this. Bitching mario baby on a dinosaur is not my favorite game there, so no loss for me, and I have Mario RPG already. If I got one it would be for trying out some of those prohibitively exspensive games like Space Megaforce, or Pokey and Rocky. Thanks!

Edit: Starfox 2! :( Reading through this makes me a bit disappointed, though not a deal breaker, that some of these games are not compatible, but it's as I expected. There are enough games that are still playable, but these would've been nice to check out.

I bought the SD2SNES because it was the only flashcart available that supports sound rips.

I bought Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island, Mario RPG and something else (Allstars + SMW?) for Super Famicom for like $20 on eBay. Most other chipped SNES/SFC games are not expensive. I've only ever liked Megaman X, so it works out that I don't need to waste money on the sequels.

Even if those games fell under the GPL, it still isn't legal for this douche to sell them on eBay.

I might have to nab one in the future then!  My next SNES purchase is going to be a Super Gameboy 2, I think, though.  Ideally I'd finally get a PVM or some kind of RGB monitor, then I read that the SNES has built in RGB already, get the right cable, and voila.  I kinda don't want to break the tabs in the console, does anyone know which converter I should look for?  I looked on ebay once and they were asking 50 bucks I think for it.  So a SFC into SNES converter, SGB2, and I'm gonna bust out some full screen GB goodness.  I might even try to dig up that Super Gameboy controller, since I'm into GB again so much.

Yep, this is where I read it before.  I have one of the original units, and you're right, I'm not sure which revision it is.  In my move it's sure to turn up so I'll get it out then and check.  I want the cheapest route to playing real GB carts on a TV, so even though I would like a Super Famicom, and I agree they are a lot nicer looking than the SNES (mine was blessed with just the bottom part of the casing that turned brown, so it's only half fugly), in all likely hood I will probably try to make the SNES I have work.  There's a couple SFC carts I'd like to get but I don't have any plans to really collect them, just GB stuff.  The Super GB2 is important to me to have the proper clock speed running.  I'm also aware that it will only play the original gray GB carts and the black backwards compatibility ones, that's ok with me.. mostly interested in the gray carts anyway!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the suggestions.  I broke the tabs off of a friend's console 20+ years ago when we were into imports, I just thought I might try to keep mine intact.  I'm not unfamiliar with the process.  I guess I need to just get my SNES out and see if it's even worth messing with, I might just go the Super Famicom console route.  I did always want one.
