Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

I asked the seller where they got their freebie from and this is what I got back. IMG
Their other copy is still sealed. Wtf.

CrackTiger

Isn't the box set from PCEWorks only $60 or something?

It's €59 so about $67. I know the box with cross and a can of red bull was more but I don't remember it being $300. I emailed tobias, or a staff member at least, to ask for a free copy to prove an albeit useless point and they mailed me back saying if there is still one lying around I can have it free of charge. Gouging is one thing but hawking a freebie like it's the ark of the covenant is pretty lame. Of course I exaggerate slightly.

CrackTiger

Not Turbo, but the most shameless intentional gouging I've ever seen. This is a fan project, where a group ripped the content from the CD exclusive Crossed Swords 2 and got it to work as a cart game, with Crossed Swords music used in place of CD tracks. They made a bunch of physical copies, since everyone demanded it, but they were reasonably priced all things considered.

I didn't bother to buy one when I had the chance, because it wasn't worth buying over other games I wanted and it's still a compromised hack of the full version, which I can just play on CD.

This asshole bought one with the intent to immediately flip it for maximum profit using maximum hype.

Negative Feedback? Since when are eBay sellers able to leave negative feedback again?

Not since 2008.  Either the seller's a clueless idiot who hadn't tried leaving a neg or he's stating it as a scare tactic to ward off clueless buyer who doesn't know that.

How is this gouging? Its an auction that started at 99 cents.

'Tis buyer imposed gouging, caused by the perception of value being skewed by BINs (sold or not), shill bidding, etc.

I posted this in chat, but I saw this listing today:

Is that really a realistic value for that bundle?  I mean like I know Sinistron and Dragon's Curse and maybe Neutopia have some value, but that seems like quite a high selling price.

It's only worthwhile if you're the type of blind new-to-Turbo collector who believes that a loose TG-16 is worth $200.

If you're going to ask $5 for a label, you could at least post a clear photo of what you're selling. I'd be happy to pay a premium for a super high quality professiobally made label for something like the TED. But this is likely the cheaper inkjet sticker paper.

With the trending value of the Pound due to Brexit, if you wait a bit, it might be more reasonable.

Before Brexit, the US Dollar was trading at roughly at $1.50 to 1 British Pound.  Now, it is trading at about $1.33 to 1 British Pound.  A week ago, that game would have cost me about $173US.  Today, it would cost me about $153.  If the Pound continues to fall, the game would actually become reasonably priced.

This about as far as my understanding of global economics goes...at least until I have a few more cups of coffee this morning!

Much better (for us, sorry wildfruit) as I recall it was trading twice the value of a dollar when I bought games from Big Al.

Their exports will be cheaper for a while (what China does on purpose), but the opposite becomes true for their imports.

It would've been harder to [eventually] untangle themselves from the EU had they switched to its EURO currency, but I wonder how that would've affected things. What were the reasons for maintaining their currency over the EURO way back ? Anybody know ?

Now you mention it I did sit down and work out the other day that if I had bought my duo now it would have cost me about £30 more, which is not small potatoes.

Ah, I see, the usual problem/con that much more power is lost to national/local governments over distant federalist/global ones.

The pros are certainly the convenience of traveling country to country in Europe and not having to exchange currency to engage in commerce.

But yeah, there's a whole pro/con to a global currency idea, I don't think I'm for it for the most part, but it's something I'd have to really examine more.

When I went to Greece a few times I got burned because they switched to EURO and before that Americans could have a good/easy time given the exchange rate and bringing USD to buy/exchange for the former Greek Drachma... Your buying power during a vacation was extended, but then it went the other way with the EURO, and so they lost tourism/business at some level.
