I ordered from Diskounters years ago. He gave me a few good deals one a few things he dug up from his basement. A good guy. He told me about how years ago he had HuCard sleeves made, for the Turbo List, but I wasn't around on the Turbo List until the end of it, since during the late 90's- early 00s I didn't touch the Turbo grafx much. After the list shut down, I lurked here, then tried to register a few times, then... anyway!

From what I understand, the guy running Diskounters was personally into the TG-16 until the early 00s, then not so much.

I'm surprised he still has some of these TG-16 games ins tock.

I just happened to be at a retro game store I like and it is a working design game a publisher I have a fondness for.  Andthe store having a bevy of TG-16 and a few cd games I picked this one up...there were a few others I was interested in while there but this became my splurge item.

I was worried when initaly bought that it was missing a cd as it comes in a double jewel case but the fine people on these forums assured me that the case was to house a map.

So yeah, being that I bought this at resale, at a brick and mortar store (which cost much more to maintain then an on line only store) I feel that pricing based on the Internet is so hard to gauge by for anyone.

I don't see the deal here, I see an unfinished auction that started at .99 cents and perhaps a few people who don't realize that this tuner add-on is almost worthless with the analog-to-digital switch. Maybe you'll catch one working analog channel leftover, but in a few more years, they'll be almost totally non-existent.

This seller is trying to unload an almost worthless item knowing that is the case. He threw in "rare" in the description, and one can at least give him credit for acknowledging the switch to digital but then he still tries to put some kind of value on it by stating it's "limited to a nice collector's piece" - a consolation prize in merely owning something that mostly doesn't work... Whoop dee doo, I say! I actually wanted one in the past, glad I didn't buy it though.

Console5 still has 'em and tries to unload them for $17.95 straight retail.
