Subject/Topic says it all... Just noticed that I have 2 different variations of Ys I & II...
One states Duo and other just TG16

Here a pic:

Is it only cosmetic changes or is something actually different? I bet its just cosmetic/packaging coming bundled with the system but just want to make sure.

Liquid Snake

One on top is first release for Turbografx CD
One on the bottom is for Turbo Duo release (or pack-in)

Now that we cleared that up, can you compare the two manuals? I see that TTi replaces NEC, but were there any significant changes made in the manual (outside of replacing TurboGrafx-CD with TurboDuo...if that was even done).

CrackTiger

They are exactly the same other than the extra dungeon and EXP boosting item for replays.

Just kidding.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

The pack-in version did include a map... sometimes. I've owned both versions exactly once, and have two maps. One was packed into my TurboDuo box when I bought it brand new during the era of the Duo, the other came with a fresh copy I ordered from TZD when it was around. Amusingly enough, the maps are all I have left.
Turbo Badass Rank: Janne (6 of 12 clears)
Conquered so far: Sinistron, Violent Soldier, Tatsujin, Super Raiden, Shape Shifter, Rayxanber II

Look closely. You may notice that the ink is smudged by the Roda Tree. It turns out that actual tears were used to create this effect.
