guys, what is the history on this.. I was not aware of this until I saw this posting recently.  seemed like a homebrew project yet somehow made it onto the bootleg scene?  the production copies look amazing.  what's interesting is the price gauging that's going on on yahoo japan on this.. similar to the space fantasy zones as well...

Yeah, that one has made my right eyebrow go quite high for a while now. I initially saw it on some site, so I tried digging for more information and found the same site as JapanTokei.

QuoteThe PC Engine version is a faithful conversion of the 1987 NES Original. It requires a system version 3.0 or higher (or PCE Duo system) to be played. So if you have a "suitcase" PCE unit, you need a Super System Card in order to play this Super CD release.

The highly limited release comes sealed along with jewel case * , CD front and back inlay, folded full-size manual (with poster motive on the backside), registration card and spine card. It features gorgeous artworks and fits every PC Engine collection perfectly. Extremely limited quantities to commemerate the PC Engine's 25th anniversary in 2012, so make sure to order your copy today!
I'm not sure what to think of that  but I almost wanted to pick it up :p
CHECKPOINT!

Estaban - I can't find the mystery link in the Dev section.. it only has 1 page of threads and I searched for Mega and Megaman to no avail... who is the mystery developer?  Arkhan?  SunteamP?

Sorry! I should have provided the link: NES Emulator Thread (Bonknuts). I linked to the moment when Bonknuts realized that his work is, most likely, being packaged and sold by anime4ever (he makes bootleg PCE games).

We all agree: the layout/design of anime4ever's work is impeccable, but his pathetic attempts to pass off bootlegs as "anniversary editions" or "recently discovered second prints from Hudson's storeroom" is lame. I think he is mostly selling CDR's now (Sapphire was the only CD-ROM he actually had pressed).

Hahaha. Yeah, that's my error screen I made for the system card 2.0  - in the yahoo auctions pic. It also plays an ADPCM track of some (I forget) megaman PSG track.
