Old game from nes or before to games now day on wii ps3 and 360 do they get released in french.  I know i am sure they get the pal french copy but I'm talking about a Canadian french ntsc copy.  I know factory sealed games are opened up when they go to Canada and they are from what i was told by supposed to put a french manual in the game and then reseal the game.  My question is are they in french and dragon was telling me of a bilingual Kirby adventure game he has being in french and English so does that mean if they have a french copy there are only bilingual?  Anyone who actually no more info on Canadian released games people do share.  I do believe there has to be or the law making them put french manuals is contradicting but as i am not from Canada i have no idea.

Games sold in Canada came with both an english manual and a french manual. Also, on the back of the cardboard box, the game description is in english and also in french. The gameplay is all in english. I hope this answers your question.

Not relly it still makes no sence tho.  If the law in canada states you have to have both english and fench manual  and on the case then why not games.  Some people tell me biligual game s canada. But if its law in canada then how is that law not making any sence if the games not in french as well.

termis

I guess the law didn't apply to the content of the game, or they were *gasp*, illegal, because the fact remains that Canadian TG16 games themselves are identical to US versions (that is, they're all in English).

I think the law in Canada is that only groceries have to be labeled bilingually - for everything else it's optional.

It was great as a kid. I could read the box of Cheerios in English and when I got bored of that I could flip the box around and try and figure out the French. heh

Bagged milk was hilarious!!! But i haven't seen that for sale in like 25+ years! You'd always need a pitcher to serve it unless you're a daredevil and pour right outta the bag!

Back on the topic, I have not seen any games that are in french during gameplay except for one.... I have seen a NES Kirby that had french while playing...other then that, it's just french manuals and boxes. Don't even get me started on bilingual covers for DVDs....the spines look so shitty on a shelf when the print is so small because they gotta fit the french title on as well! What happened to the good ol days of double sided DVD slip covers???

I just always assumed everyone had bagged milk.
I get bagged milk weekly at my local Kwik Trip ;)
Jossshhhhh...Legendary TurboTrollX-16: He revenge-bans PCE Developers/Ys IV Localizers from PCE Facebook groups and destroyed 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Josh and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner (extortion/blackmail!), never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

DVD cases/art have little to be desired anyway, let alone the bilingual thing.
