I got lucky the other day and for some reason someone listed the official cables for 49.99 with a buy it now, so i quickly snatched it up. I figure if they dont make that big a difference I can always re-sell em. Thanks for all your help

In that case, there's just the three distinct Bonk games, regardless of region.  In fact, the US actually had more Turbo/PCE Bonks, as the Super CD version of Bonk's Big Adventure was US only.  It also happens to be my favorite one of the bunch, so suck it Japan!

Nope.  There's the arcade version of Bonk's Adventure (an entirely different game than the Turbo title), Super Bonk on the SNES, Bonk's Adventure and Bonk's Revenge on the Game Boy (also new games and not ports of the TG-16 titles), and Bonk's Return is available for mobile phones.

I cant believe they are still so sought after. I dont have a Wii but love my GC so i mean 60 bucks its cheaper then 200 for the wii. 60 bucks is insane. I just keep watching every auction for a steal but I dont know if that will happen. Still hoping someone on here wants to dump there set of cables.

I'm going to go out on a limb here since everyone here loves video games that maybe someone here has these lying around and would be willing to part with it.

I'm looking for the official GC component cables. On ebay they are just majorly over priced 60-80 in most cases plus shipping . I think they sold for like 20/30 bucks new when they came out.

I would be willing to spend like 40/50 with shipping for them if anyone somehow has one of these lying around they are not using?

The button layout on the GC controller is pretty bad, but the analog stick is the best (not the yellow one).

the analog stick rocked, but i always felt the d-pad was patheticly small.

I think SMB2 might be my favorite too. I liked New Super Mario Bros., but it still wasn't quite what I wanted.

I thought the controls on NSMB were just sloppy. It ruined it for me.

Big Day The ESRB Two has rated two more candidates for the Wii Virtual Console. Ys I & II, Rolling Thunder 2 Due have been rated which is usually a good indication that they will come to North America in the next few weeks. Ys Book I & II is a role-playing game collection released for the Turbografx-CD and Rolling Thunder 2 is a side-scrolling shooter classic.

I see alot on here with folks trying to declare the turbo as having more impressive graphics than the genesis.

The Turbo could replicate the missing extra plane by using sprites, but the Genesis couldn't do anything about the lack of colors (which resulted in nicely detailed games with washed out colors).

but the turbo struggled to pull it off and sacrificed sprites to do it half as well. After hearing from some others in here, that's still the main (and perhaps only) disavantage of the turbo, but it's a big one in my book that. I don't think i've ever looked at a genesis game and siad "this would great if i had three more shades of aqua #3". I have definitely fired up a turbo game (forgotten worlds etc) and said "where' the parallax?" or better yet noticed the background flickering in psychosis cause it's really an extra sprite that the turbo can't handle.

having said all this, I still love the Turbo as i said before the games sem to have a quality that makes them more fun to play.

I dont have a direct link but screw attack has a video as the main topic on this hard game from back in the day. I found it cool to know that this actually spawned off the game impossmole on the TG. Pretty cool stuff.

The graphics seem ok, but this looks like it might be an actual fun game. I really enjoyed Hit and Run but everything else in the series has just been OK at best. Here is hoping for the best...

I've def proclaimed my love of this game before. I totally remmeber playing it in the arcade when it came out, for the time it was inventive and marginally fun but hard as heck (although at the time I dont think I knew about the special moves). I also remmeber playing it long after Super SFII came out and I had mastered that game and I'll be damned even in the arcade the damn moves were hard as hell to pull off.

It's amazing that they were able to pull out such a gem as SFII considering how crappy SF played in comparrison.

Street Fighter: Teh Movie is very, very different on the Saturn than it is in the arcade.

Killer Instinct needs to be on that list as well as:
Street Fighter 1 (especially for the Turbo)
Street Smart

I really enjoyed all three of these at the time of their release. I still think killer instinct holds up well.

the only reason maybe SF1 should be on the list is that they improved everything about the game so well with the second release it makes the first one laughable. But I think if you compare it to other games that were out at that time it wasnt nearly as bad as some others like super hang-on LOL
