In all seriousness, the only one of these games that's really worth a damn is Castle Of Illusion for the Genesis. It's also the only game in this list to withstand the test of time; it's still fun to play even now.

This sucks. Not good news at all. I was honestly hoping for HD-DVD to stay a lot longer, or pull through everything. But I guess consumers are stupid (not surprising).

Now don't get me wrong. I own a PlayStation 1, and a PlayStation 2. I have bought plenty of games for both. I have no reason at this time to buy a PlayStation 3, not to mention the games I have seen, are unimpressive, and run like shit (Heavenly Sword is just one good example of ass).

LOL again.. PS1 was very special to me..ff7...CSOTN..was a great system with a LOT of good and classic games however with  a bad hardware conception.I cant forget how I used to run my games in my psx upside down. that fucking optical unit.

I have a ps2 too but especially for exclusive games... like SOTC ,Kingdom hearts...and GOW.

So for me right now, BluRay is not an option for me.

Isn't for anyone.We being forced to. Anyway..thats the way it is.
Ill buy a ps3 when gow 3, and TEAM ICO launching something... until then..isn't a worth buy to me.

But i played chip and dale A LOT at NES generation.....

Meh, there's nothing really good in arcades anymore.

It's mostly the older arcade games that make the trip worth going to arcades.

Agree.But to be thrust ,nowadays with consoles, super consoles and emulators.. gameplay online..marry,homework..LAZY,, its hard to happen.

The only game that nowadays I play at arcades are Pump it Up series.

I just ordered the turbo express from mindrec.   I'm afraid of needles so giving blood is not an option. However donating sperms sound like a good idea and I imagine it would be a more pleasurable process than giving blood anyway. LOL

I thought the Genesis port of Valis I blew. The Turbo version is 100x better.

Man, they really failed with that game. 100 times better than "blows", and yet it still sucks.

So, whats console that best valis 1 resides ? I wanna play!
at that time only genesis version was possible to me...

No surpise they skipped the pce/tg16.My guess,there looking at the consoles that have the most commerical sucess.

Yeah the pce did great in jpn but it was a flop in the u.s.

That's like expecting them to cover the,NeoGeo when it was a cult hit in the u.s as well.

I disagree, but they really reports only most commercial consoles.But the true must be said.Duo/engine was the very first cd-r console.

The first VALIS version (VALIS 1) that I played was GENESIS version.And reading about seems to be the pcengine version the worst.
To me is the NES version.

Hi there,
Well,  I'm a newbie here really, but don't in videogames as well.I played since 7 years old, and love it 'till nowadays.

At past times, at NES generation, I remember saw a picture of PC-ENGINE for the very first time, in a game magazine, called "Videogames" here in Brazil.And love it. I was thinking "how its possible?! a CD on a console??" my eyes shining seeing pictures from VALIS III , reading comments about animation does and voice acting."Superb"

      Also remember when I saw Street fighter II" version ....one of my all time favorite games.Good times.
     
      Since all that, I became a NEC fan, and after years surfing on internet, I collected goodies,played related games.. and one day I found this site and watched all video reviews, etc.
It was I knew the ANOTHER NEC system, the PC-FX. I ever confuse it with PC-Engine, like PC-FX was an acronym or something like that.
         Then I decide join it.
         So, I expect to make friends, change experiences and learn a lot.
         Greetings to all.

PS: wow, I forgot to mention that I a REALLY fan of VALIS series... and I have a DREAM to play all them on a REAL pc-engine or turbo duo...Maybe I do a little visit at SALES section . LoL
