So im awaiting my Super SD System 3 from terraonion and started to re-dump my collection using turborip.

Do you recommend using the /normalize option to get a boost in the audio levels? Or should I just leave it alone? How aggressive is the boost?

Does anyone know what the menu system looks like for the UperGrafx UGX-02? I'm curious as how it compares to the Super SD System 3.

I guess you'd also need a good DVI & RCA to HDMI converter box for UGX-02 to work properly with TV's that don't have RCA in.

Forever boxing came with a poster too. Also has a hucard variant I noticed, red and black I think

Correct: one of them (the first one) doesn't work with RF.

The second pressing fixes this.

However, I forget which color HuCARD is associated with 1st vs 2nd pressing.

The black Huey is the original release with the RF glitch. I made this thread asking questions a few years ago. Has some poor quality videos of the glitch.

/xbox switch will change letters to comply with the XBOX file system.

Unless that somehow broke, it's on purpose. There are more prohibited characters than Windows on XBOX and max length is 64 or something, so I crop length as well.

What I meant was the binary filenames in the cue do not match the actual filename so the cue is bad.

Something like this...

Filename:
01-Exile (U).mp3
02-Exile (U).iso

CUE Filename:
Exile (U)-01.mp3
Exile (U)-02.iso

Thanks for the updated tool! Ive been using TurboRip for a long time now... heck my username was created just to join RIGG back in the day.

I recently started ripping my original discs to use on my XBOX with MednafenX_PCE and I noticed the latest version of TurboRip creates an .cue with incorrect file names. The issue only seems to be present when using the /XBOX flag.

Did the games inside of the cd box have shrink wrap on them as well? I would not think so if the hu card games did not.

I cant speak for Ys specifically, but all of the CD games I have purchased NIB were both shrink wrapped on the box and jewel case.

So its looking more and more like TGX040074 was the original batch of Hu's with the glitch. And the Canadian version had a barcode sticker... So is it safe to assume the US box was identical minus the stickers?

Now if we can find someone with an original red Hu in box.

I think most people already know of the red Hu variant of Champions Forever Boxing, but does any one know if it had a different barcode than the black label? I stumbled upon the following in my search for the answer.

The box seems identical to the common one outside of the barcode and serial. I do not own the box...

No shifting it doesn't work unfortunately. The pins on the Hu are pretty worn down and damaged, they slightly sink into the card. Someone must have tried to clean the contacts with something hella abrasive.

My copy of New Adventure Island does this. If I apply a little downward force to the card while its slotted it works just fine.

I wedge a small piece of folded paper under the lip after the card is inserted to play.

The problem with a group buy is that everyone is subsidizing the cheap-o or bad games that many people already have or don't want (recall how many sports games hang out in the cheap bins in used game stores). Even group sales often lead to reselling madness.

Depending on the seller's flexibility in terms of price, this could be a great way for a total newbie to the platform to dive in head-first, however, as long as they have WAY too much spare change on hand to give to this.

Lucky for us the TG16 doesn't have too many bad titles.

Yeah I found a site that had the sega mycard cases for sale for the hucards..  but they are completely sold out.  They still have the card sleeves that I am going to buy.
Lately I have just been cutting the inside of the cd jewel case and putting the cards in.

I do this as well. It doesn't shift around much at all if you also have a manual.

One of my best friends growing up had a TurboGrafx-16 and I would spend most of my weekends at his place playing Bomberman and Battle Royale. His dad purchased a TurboDuo Xmas of 93 with like 10 games (one of which was Magical Chase). I have very fond memories playing Exile, YS and Godzilla in his basement over the next few months.

I bought the entire collection from his dad two years ago. Well almost the entire collection, my friend had sold Magical Chase on Ebay a year earlier to pay rent...

no it probably wouldnt.  as fiddy pointed out, you havent contributed crap around here.  dont just show up after a hiatus asking for people to sell you what you need.  look at your list...more than half of the people in here want many of those titles.  and if you did get them, you would probably just disappear.  if you claim you are just looking for commons, then just post the ones you want.  its insulting that you just hap-hazadly pulled a copy/paste job and hoped for the best.

If you looked in the Cyber Knight thread (next to this one), where megatron is also active, you'll note that he is busy with a move.

And IDK if he feels this way, but IMO it's pretty rude to ask for status updates like this unless it's been like several months.  You'll get your free software when you get it.  I definitely understand the anticipation, though, I'm looking forward to this release as well!
